C343 Stamfordham Road - Temporary Road Closure

C343 STAMFORDHAM ROAD THROCKLEY
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intend to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C343 Stamfordham Road Throckley from its junction with Western Way for a distance of 1300 metres to its junction with Ponteland Road in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 21st June 2025 until the 31st October 2025.
Weather dependant phases:
Phase 1: Substantial patching works
Phase 2 Civils works (ditching and drainage)
Phase 3: Hotbox patching to do any minor patching repairs
Phase 4: Surface dressing works
Phase 5: Lockchip
Phase 6: Road markings
It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 23rd June 2025 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 31st October 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being C348, U9083, B6323 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
