WELLWOOD STREET BACK LANE AMBLE
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U3134 King Edward Street Wellwood Street Back Lane Amble from its junction with Bryon Street heading in a southerly direction for a length of 117 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 9th June 2025 until the 27th June 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 9th June 2025 until the 13th June 2025 and that it will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 27th June 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being Bryon Street, King Edward Street, Middleton Street and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water to excavate to carry out sewer repair works and reinstate.
In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
