Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. This is in accordance with section 15(8) of said Act and Regulation 7 of The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992 in that the following restrictions will continue to be in force:
Temporary Road Closure:
The B6341 Narrowgate, Alnwick from its junction with Pottergate heading in a south easterly direction for a length of 95 metres in the County of Northumberland (“the Road”) should be prohibited because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road
The alternative route shall be available via the U3142, the B6341, the C423 and vice-versa in Alnwick and should the need arise, changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.
The Road is closed following a request by Sunbelt Rentals to carry out urgent work to erect scaffolding due to an unstable frontage and to stop any debris falling on to the ground.

This Order came into force on the 18th May 2025 and will remain in force until the 20th June 2025.
