Canal Wharf - Temporary Road Closure

What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
CANAL WHARF, CHESTERFIELD

WHEN: 02 June to 03 June 2025
WHERE: Canal Wharf, Chesterfield from a point 35m south of its jct. with Hazelhurst Avenue for a distance of 35m in a southerly direction.
REASON: To facilitate telecommunication works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Canal Wharf (from point of closure), Wharf Lane, B6057 Sheffield Road, Hazlehurst Lane, Canal Wharf (to point of closure) and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
