(Temporary Prohibition Of Use By Vehicles) Order 2025

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Deadmill Lane, Lower Swainswick from its junction with Ferndale Road extending north for approximately 75 metres. USRN: 47913412.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable contractors to carry out building repairs from the 2nd June 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. 

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for SIX WEEKS.

(Temporary Prohibition Of Use By Vehicles) Order 2025

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Widcombe Hill, Widcombe, Bath from its junction with Macaulay Buildings extending north east to its junction with Copseland. USRN: 47913695.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road for the siting of a crane for delivery of new substation plant on behalf of National Grid on the 3rd June 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months.

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. 

Works are anticipated to be for ONE DAY between 10:00 - 13:00hrs.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Clockwise: A36 Pulteney Road – A36 Rossiter Road – A36 Pulteney Road – Bathwick Hill – Oakley – Claverton Down Road – Widcombe Hill – vice versa.

(Temporary Prohibition Of Use By Vehicles) Order 2025

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to:

• Temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of High Street, Upper Weston, Bath from a point outside 39 High Street extending east to a point outside 25 High Street. USRN: 47900077.

• Introduce a temporary suspension of the one-way restriction in that length of High Street, Upper Weston, Bath from its junction with Crown Road extending east to its junction with Crown Road/Weston Lane. 

This will allow traffic to travel in both directions so that residents can access/exit Trafalgar Road via High Street and access/exit either end of High Street, Upper Weston.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Openreach safe access to overhead cabling work without excavation on the 1st June 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. 

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. 

Works are anticipated to be for ONE DAY between 09:30 - 15:30hrs.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to introduce a one-way restriction on A367 Chapel Row from its junction with St Paul’s Place extending north to its junction with Queen Square. One-way traffic will only be able to travel in a southbound direction. USRN: 47913310

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Openreach safe access to carry out cabling works on the 16th June 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. 

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.

This is anticipated to be for ONE NIGHT between 21:00 - 05:00hrs.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to close temporarily to cyclists, horse riders and vehicles, and suspend all parking to vehicles in the length of roads listed in Schedule 1.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to carry out highway maintenance works by Bath & North East Somerset Council, operative from the 2nd June 2025, for a maximum period of 18 Months. 

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. The anticipated timescale for each closure is listed in Schedule 1 below.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Wales & West Utilities to carry out gas main upgrade works from the 2nd June 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months.

• A suspension of the one-way restriction, to allow 2-way traffic flow on Great Stanhope Street.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable National Grid to complete excavations for a new electrical supply from the 31st May 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months.

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.

Works are anticipated to be for TWO WEEKEND DAYS.
