What is happening?
CONSTITUTION HILL, CHATHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an orderthe effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable drainage works to be carried out
Constitution Hill, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic for the entire length. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be provided and signed. This orderwill come into force on Tuesday, 1 July 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Tuesday, 1 July 2025 and are programmed for completion within 7 days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

VALLEY VIEW ROAD, ROCHESTER (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an orderthe effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable water supply works to be carried out
Valley View Road, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic from the junction with Maidstone Road and for a distance of 50 metres in a westerly direction. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Maidstone Road, Priestfields, Cookham Hill and Mount Road.
This order will come into force on Wednesday, 11 June 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Wednesday, 11 June 2025 and are programmed for completion within three days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

HIGH STREET, LOWER STOKE (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an orderthe effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable water supply works to be carried out
High Street, Lower Stoke - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of Kleefield, High Street. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Grain Road.
This order will come into force on Monday, 23 June 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 23 June 2025 and are programmed for completion within 2 days. The orderwill be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

ROCHESTER AVENUE AND DELCE ROAD, ROCHESTER (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an orderthe effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable underground cabling works to be carried out
Rochester Avenue and Delce Road, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic (a) for the entire length of Rochester Avenue and (b) at the three-way junction of Rochester Avenue with Delce Road for a distance of 50 metres in each direction. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Cecil Road or Hoopers Road and Foord Street.
This order will come into force on Monday, 2 June 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 2 June 2025 and are programmed for completion within until 4 August. The orderwill be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

PARK AVENUE AND OXFORD ROAD, GILLINGHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an orderthe effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable gas main replacement works to be carried out
Park Avenue and Oxford Road, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic (a) in Park Avenue between (and including) the junction with Seaton Road and (and including) the junction with Oxford Road (b) in Oxford Road at the junction with Park Avenue and Brasenose Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Watling Street, Nelson Road and Napier Road.
This order will come into force on Monday, 23 June 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 23 June 2025 and are programmed for completion by 21 July, 2025. The orderwill be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

LUTON ROAD AREA, CHATHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable highway improvement works to be carried out
Luton Road Area, Chatham – the following roads to be closed to all vehicular traffic - (a) Luton Road between (but not including) the junctions with Castle Road and A2 Chatham Hill; (b) Bank Street for the entire length; (c) Short Street for the entire length; and (d) Hare Street for the entire length. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative vehicular route will be available via Pear Tree Lane, Hempstead Road, Hoath Way and Watling Street.
This orderwill come into force on Monday, 2 June 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 2 June 2025 and are programmed for completion by 18 April 2026.
Luton Road will be closed in four stages, expected to be 23 July-30 August; 18-25 October; 14-21 February and 7-18 April, 2026.
Bank Street, Hare Street and Short Street will also be closed in four stages, expected to be 2 June - 30 August; 18-25 October; 14-21 February and 7-18 April 2026.
Exact timings will depend on the progress of the works.
