What is happening?

ALMA PLACE, STROOD (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable a new fibre optic cable to be installed

Alma Place, Strood - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction with Knight Road and across the frontage of 5 Alma Place. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Charles Street, Cuxton Road, High Street and Commercial Road.

This order will come into force on Friday, 6 June 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Friday, 6 June 2025 and are programmed for completion within 2 days. The orderwill be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

HAROLD AVENUE, GILLINGHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an orderthe effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable gas main replacement works to be carried out

Harold Avenue, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic for the entire length. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. Access to properties will be maintained as far as possible, although the direction of approach may vary as the works progress.

This order will come into force on Saturday, 28 June 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Saturday, 28 June 2025 and are programmed for completion by 26 July 2025.

The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.
