Halton - Multiple Road Traffic Notices

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Halton Borough Council intends to make, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, an Order under Section 14(1) Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The Borough Of Halton (Ditchfield Road, Widnes)
(Temporary Prohibition Or Restriction Of Traffic) Order 2025

Road(s) affected: Ditchfield Road, Widnes - between Everite Road and Hale Road. 

Date Order to come into effect: 12 June 2025

Effect of the Order: during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in or along the road.

Note: the closure is for patching and surface dressing works and is expected to be over 5 days.

(Temporary Prohibition Or Restriction Of Traffic) Order 2025

Road(s) affected: Speke Road (Westbound), Widnes 
Effect of the Order: during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to exceed a speed limit of 20 mph.

Date Order to come into effect: 14 June 2025

Note: the restriction is to allow carriageway repair works by Knowsley MBC.

(Temporary Prohibition Or Restriction Of Traffic) Order 2025

Road(s) affected: Halton Road, Runcorn - between Picton Avenue and Cartwright Street. 

Effect of the Order: during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in or along the road.

Date Order to come into effect: 18 June 2025

Note: the closure is to allow for replacement of manhole cover and frame in the carriageway and will take one day.

Reason for making the Orders: the Council is satisfied that traffic on the roads should be prohibited and/or restricted because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads.

Alternative Routes: where available suitably signed alternative route(s) will be provided.

Maximum duration of the Orders: 18 months from the date the Order comes into effect.
