A228 Malling Road & B2246 Hermitage Lane, Maidstone ME19 4TE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF WEIGHT RESTRICTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow asset location works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily restrict through traffic on part of A228 Malling Road, Mereworth & B2246 Hermitage Lane, Maidstone, on or after 16th June 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

A228 Malling Road will be closed from the junction of Beech Road to the junction of The Street, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The weight restriction on B2246 Hermitage Lane will be suspended to allow access for diverted traffic

The alternative route for any through traffic less than 14’6” in height is via A228 Tonbridge Road, A26 Tonbridge Road, B2016 Seven Mile Lane, A20 London Road, A20 Ashton Way, A228 Ashton Way, A228 Malling Road and vice versa.

The alternative route for any through traffic greater than 14’6” in height is via A26 Tonbridge Road, B2246 Fountain Lane, B2246 Hermitage Lane, A20 London Road, A20 Ashton Way, A228 Ashton Way, A228 Malling Road and vice versa.

 

Basted Lane, Borough Green TN15 8PZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow reinstatement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Basted Lane, Borough Green, on or after 17th June 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Tall Chimneys. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Basted Lane, Plough Hill, Mill Lane, Basted Mill, Thong Lane, Quarry Hill Road, A25 Maidstone Road, Long Mill Lane and vice versa.

 

Exedown Road, Wrotham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new water connection to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Exedown Road, Wrotham, on or after 2nd June 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Old Terrys Lodge Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Terrys Lodge Road, A20 London Road, Bull Lane, High Street, Kemsing Road, Exedown Road and vice versa.

 

Knowle Road, Wouldham ME1 3GE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow cable installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Knowle Road, Wouldham, on or after 24th May 2025 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Cornwall Crescent. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Knowle Road, Rochester Road, New Court Road, Village Road, Peters Bridge Roundabout, Hall Road, Known Road and vice versa.

 

Nettlestead Lane, Wateringbury ME18 5HX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow gas main replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Nettlestead Lane, Wateringbury, on or after 20th June 2025 for up to 73 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Nettlestead Quarry. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Park Road, Roydon Hall Road, A228 Seven Mile Lane, A228 Maidstone Road Roundabout, B2015 Maidstone Road, Gibbs Hill, Nettlestead Lane and vice versa.

 

Priory Street, Tonbridge TN9 2AW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow gas main replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Priory Street, Tonbridge, on or after 16th June 2025 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Mary Magdalene House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Priory Street, Priory Road, St Stephens Street, A2014 Pembury Road and vice versa.

 

The Heath, East Malling ME19 6JF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new water connection to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Heath, East Malling, on or after 16th June 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

Vigo Hill, Trottiscliffe TN15 7JP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow drain cleaning works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Vigo Hill, Trottiscliffe, on or after 3rd June 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of A227 Gravesend Road and Pilgrims Way. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Taylors Lane, Ford Lane, A20 London Road, A20 Maidstone Road, A25 Maidstone Road, High Street, A227 Western Road, A227 Wrotham Road, A227 Borough Green Road, A227 Wrotham Bypass, A20 London Road, A227 Gravesend Road and vice versa.

To allow tree felling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Vigo Hill, Trottiscliffe, on or after 16th June 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of A227 Gravesend Road and the junction of Pilgrims Way. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A227 Gravesend Road, A20 London Road, A20 Wrotham Heath Roundabout, A20 London Road, Ford Lane, Taylors Lane and vice versa.
