What is happening?

Sidney Street, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-936

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Sidney Street, Cambridge as lies between St &rews St & Market St. 

The alternative route for vehicles is via Hobson St; King St; Four Lamps Roundabout; Jesus Ln; Bridge St; St John’s St; Trinity St; Market St. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate graffiti cleaning & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 10/6/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 9/12/26 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 02:00hrs & 05:00hrs 10 /6/25.


Weston Colville Footpath 16, Weston Colville Temporary Prohibition of Use – Order 25-937

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Weston Colville Footpath 16, Weston Colville as lies between Horseshoes Ln & West Colville Footpath 17. 

The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate development & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 30/6/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 29/12/25 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 30/6 & 29/12/25.


Cow Lane & Apthorpe Street, Fulbourn Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-938

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Cow Lane & Apthorpe Street, Fulbourn as lies between Hinton Rd & High St. 

The alternative route for vehicles is via Apthorpe St; Pierce Ln & vice versa Or via Pierce Ln; Cow Ln & vice versa. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate resurfacing, surface treatment, improvement & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 1/6/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 30/11/26 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 1/6 & 1/7/25.


Various Roads, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic & Revocation of One Way System – Order 2025-879

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads as set out in Schedule 1 below. 

Nothing in this Order shall prevent access & egress from premises or l& adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedules 1 & 2. 

The alternative routes are shown in Schedule 1. 

The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate carriageway resurfacing & associated works. 

The proposed Order will come into operation on 1/6/25 & will continue until these works have finished or on the 30/11/25 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified in the Schedules. 

The Order will be effective, for safety purposes, when signs are in place along the whole or any part of the above mentioned length of road whilst works are in progress or temporarily suspended.

1/6 to 7/7/25 Round Church Street, Cambridge The Order will be effective, for safety purposes, when signs are in place indicating the One Way System

Various Roads, Willingham Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-887

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads, as set out in Schedule 1 below. 

Nothing in this Order shall prevent access & egress from premises or l& adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedule 1. 

The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate carriageway resurfacing & associated works. 

The proposed Order will come into operation on 1/6/25 & will continue until these works have finished or on the 30/11/26 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified in the Schedule.

Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders. 

The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which it is made, any member of the Police Force, Fire & Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
