TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC000143538966: The City of Manchester (Stockport Road, Longsight Ward)(Temporary No waiting and No Loading) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to restrict vehicular traffic 20m South of Brook Terrence on Stockport Road. The City Council is satisfied that this restriction is necessary in order to facilitate Survey Works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 8th June 2025 to 9th June 2025. The order shall come into operation on 8th June 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If the restriction ends within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 29th May 2025.
ORDER NO. MCC143541921: The City of Manchester (Meltham Avenue, Old Moat Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Meltham Avenue. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Whitchurch Road, Golborne Avenue vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate gas mains replacement. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 9th June 2025 to the 20th June 2025. The order shall come into operation on the 9th June 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months.
If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
