Sawley Road - Temporary Road Closure For Drainage And Jetting Works
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE SAWLEY ROAD, BREASTON
WHEN: 15 June 2025 (00:15 to 08:00).
WHERE: Sawley Road, Breaston at the level crossing approx. 700m south of the A6005 Wilsthorpe Road jct.
REASON: To facilitate drainage and jetting works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Sawley Road, Main Street, Draycott Road, Station Road, Wilne Lane, Wilne Road, Tamworth Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road.
The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place.

The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
