Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 21 May 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3774 Rutson Road and D3778 Celtic Road, Byfleet which extends from the junction with Cornwall Avenue to the junction with Fullerton Road; and (b) revoke “Surrey County Council D3774 Rutson Road, Byfleet Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” in its entirety. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate fine milling works and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 2 June 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Alternative Route – D3775 Godley Road, D3765 Church Road, D3778 Sanway Road and D3778 Celtic Road.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 21 May 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic (including pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians) from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Brookwood Lye Road (A324) Brookwood as extends from its junction with (A324) Hermitage Road and (D3680) Blackhorse Road and for a distance of 200 metres in a westerly direction; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council (Various Roads in Surrey Heath and Woking) (Revocation of Weight Restriction and Weight Restriction) Order 2002” and “The Surrey County Council (Various Roads in Surrey Heath and Woking) (Revocation of Weight Restriction and Weight Restriction) Order 2002) (Amendment No.1) Order 2006” insofar as it affects the length of roads specified and described within this Notice. Alternative Route for vehicles: (A324) Brookwood Lye Road, (A322) Bagshot Road, (A322) Guildford Road, Limecroft Road, High Street, Anchor Hill, Littlewick Road, (C145) Lockfield Drive, (A324) Amstel Way, and (A324) Hermitage Road, or this route in reverse. Alternative Route for Pedestrians: (A324) Brookwood Lye Road, (A322) Bagshot Road, Broadway, Redding Way, and (A324) Hermitage Road, or this route in reverse. This Order, which will commence on 26 May 2025 for a period of 18 months is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said road, to be carried out by or on behalf of Surrey County Council, including but not limited to: reconstruction/repair/installation of street furniture/parapets/safety barriers, along with road and kerb resurfacing works. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. There will be no access (including pedestrians and cyclists) through the works area and all traffic including emergency service vehicles, will be required to follow the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
