Public Footpath No 12 (Part) Checkley Parish
Emergency Closure

Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council, on 21/5/24 made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along Public Footpath No. 12 Checkley Parish from its junction with Uttoxeter Road for approximately 334 metres in a south westerly direction to its junction with Public Footpath No. 9 Checkley Parish.

The closure is required under the provision of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 Section 14 (1) (b) due to an unsafe and partially collapsed bridge over the River Tean.

An alternative route is available using the public footpath network in the vicinity.

A plan will be displayed on site to show the length of path to be closed and the unaffected rights of way in the area.

This Order came into operation on 29/5/24 and has been extended for a further period of six months, until 29/11/25 or until the risk of danger to the public is over, whichever is the earlier. 

This extension has been given approval by the Secretary of State. If necessary, the Order may be extended for a further period.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic

Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council on 27/5/25 made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in that length of:

New Rd, Reapsmoor. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=142861486.  

The Order will come into operation on 2/6/25 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 13/6/25. 

The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the essential maintenance of a highway essential maintenance of a highway structure works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.


Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in that length of:

The Order will come into operation on 16/6/25 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 18/6/25. 

The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the short communication pipe repair works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

The Order will come into operation on 16/6/25 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 18/6/25. 

The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the renewal of a boundary box and short communication pipe works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

The Order will come into operation on 18/6/25 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 20/6/25. 

The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the installation of 9 BT poles on behalf of Open Reach, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

The Order will come into operation on 16/6/25 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 18/6/25. 

The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the installation of a new water connection works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
