Borough Of Rochdale

(Spring Mill Walk)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicles Turning Right) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to;
(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from turning right at Halifax Road from its junction with Spring Mill Walk into Spring Mill Walk.

The Order is required to facilitate the construction of a new Toucan Crossing and associated highway works.

The Order will be operative from 00:00 on the 23rd May 2025 until 23:59 on the 12th September 2025.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed onsite.


(Hargreaves Street, Rochdale)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicles Order)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Waiting At Any Time Order) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made
an Order, the effect of which is to;

(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Hargreaves Street from its junction with Manchester Road, to a point 10 metres in a northerly direction.

(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Hargreaves Street from its junction with Manchester Road, to a point 10 metres in a northerly direction.

The Order is required to facilitate the construction of a cycle way on Manchester Road within the highway.

The Order will be operative from 08:00 on the 4th June 2025 until 23:59 on the 11th June 2025.

The alternative route for vehicles will be via Onslow Street, Manley Road, Manchester Road & vice versa.

(Temporary Prohibition Of Left Turn Onto Tweedale Street From Manchester Road) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to;

(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from carrying out a left turn manoeuvre onto Tweedale Street Street from Manchester Road. The Order is required to facilitate the construction of a new cycle way on Manchester Road.

The Order will be operative from 08:00 on the 2nd June 2025 until 23:59 on the 23rd June 2025. 

The alternative route for vehicles will be via Manchester Road, Edinburgh Way, Queensway, Oldham Road, Fishwick Street, Milnrow Road, Drake Street, Maclure Road, Richard Street, Statin Road, Milkstone Road, Tweedale Street.

(Halifax Road, Rochdale)
(Temporary 30mph Speed Limit) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to; 

(i) Temporarily Introduce a temporary speed limit that will prohibit any person from driving a vehicle at a speed exceeding 30 mph on Halifax Road, A58, between A664 Albert Royds Street and Wardle Road in both directions.

The Order is required to facilitate new pedestrian signalised crossing facilities and other highway improvement works within this area.

The Order will be operative from 00:00 on the 23rd May 2025 until 23:59 on the 12th September 2025.

(Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicles Temporary Prohibition Of Waiting And Temporary One-Way Working Order) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to;

a) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:
i. Hare Hill Road, from its junction with Church Street to its junction with Greenwood Street,

ii. Hare Hill Road, in a south-easterly direction from its junction with Sale Street junction with Greenwood Street,

iii. Victoria Street, from its junction with Lodge Street to its junction with Wellington Street,

b) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from waiting at any time along:-
i. Hare Hill Road, from its junction with Church Street to its junction with Sale Street

ii. Victoria Street from its junction with Lodge Street to its junction with Wellington Street,

c) Temporarily suspend those parts of the Borough of Rochdale (Civil Enforcement of Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Pennines Township) Order 2008 along those sections Highway specified in the temporary prohibition of waiting at any time in this order.

The Order is required to facilitate the safe holding of the Littleborough Food and Drink Festival 2025 The Prohibition of Vehicles Order and One-Way Working Order will be operative from 08:00 hours until 18:00 hours on 14th June 2025.

The Prohibition of Waiting Order will be operative from 06:00 hours until 18:00 hours on 14th June 2025.

The alternative route for Hare Hill Road will be via Church Street, Featherstall Road, Whitelees Road, Hare Hill Road and vice versa. Any other alternative routes available will be signed on street when the closures are in operation.

(Moore Street, Rochdale)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicles Order)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Waiting At Any Time Order) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to;

(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Moore Street from its junction with School Lane to a point 20 metres in a southerly direction.

(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Moore Street from its junction with School Lane to a point 20 metres in a southerly direction.

The Order is required to facilitate the repair of a BT duct in the carriageway.

The Order will be operative from 08:00 on the 16th June 2025 until 17:00 on the 18th June 2025.

The alternative route for vehicles will be via School Lane, Great George Street & vice versa.
