What is happening?
North Yorkshire Council, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Strawberry Dale, Harrogate, Order
2025, No. 188 We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Strawberry Dale,
Harrogate for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 09/06/25 & 20/06/25, due to
private contractor installing a foul drain. However, the max duration of this Order is for 20 days. The
closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where

Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians, Public Footpaths 15.64/13/1 & 15.71/34/1 Parish Of Kirkby
Overblow, Order 2025 No 189 We have made this Order to prohibit any pedestrian from using the
Public Footpath, 15.64/13/1 & 15.71/34/1 in the Parish of Kirkby Overblow, between grid reference
SE32044631 & SE33324680 for a temporary period of 6 months (subject to access to premises)
between 27/05/25 & 06/11/25, due to an unsafe bridge. This Order follows a closure under Emergency
Notice No 72 which commenced on 07/05/25. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a

30 Mph Speed Limit, Various Roads, Dishforth, Order 2025 Notice is hereby given that The North
Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which will be to prohibit any motor
vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 30 mph on any length of road specified:- U777/2/30
Dishforth Village, from a point 86 metres South West of the Centre line of Baynes Drive to a point 115
metres South of its junction with Back Lane (measured along the Western kerb line). U778/2/70 Moor
Lane, from its junction with Back Lane to a point 69 metres in a South Westerly Direction (measured
along the centre line of the road). U779/2/70 Back Lane, in its entirety. U780/2/30 Topcliffe Road, in its
entirety. A copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected & a statement of the
Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton & at
Boroughbridge Library, 17 St. James Square, York, YO51 9AR during normal office hours from

Prohibition of Turning Movements, Victoria Avenue, Harrogate, Order 2025 Notice is hereby given
that on 16/05/25 The North Yorkshire Council made an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1), 2(2) & 3(2) of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which is to
prohibit any motor vehicle from proceeding along Victoria Avenue, Harrogate except for access to
premises or land adjacent to that road in circumstances detailed in the said Order. Prohibition Of U
Turns From Victoria Avenue east bound at its junction with Station Parade to Victoria Avenue west
bound. A copy of the Order, which comes into operation on 26/05/25, together with a map showing the
road affected may be examined at County Hall, Northallerton & at Harrogate Library, Victoria Avenue,
Harrogate, HG1 1EG during normal office hours from 22/05/25 until 27/06/25 also viewed online at
www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders. If you wish
to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within
the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any
requirement of that Act, or of any Instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the
Order, you may, within 6 weeks of 16/05/25 make application to the High Court for the purpose.
Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking, Amendment No 60, Order 2025 Notice is
hereby given that on 16/05/25 The North Yorkshire Council made an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to
(3), 4(2), 32(1) & 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act
& under the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which is to amend “North Yorkshire County
Council (Harrogate, Knaresborough, Pannal & Burn Bridge) (Parking & Waiting) (No 23) Order 2016” by
introducing the restrictions specified in the Schedules 1 & 2 below:- Schedule 1 - Waiting Prohibited
At All Times With Exemptions Victoria Avenue, Harrogate, North side from a point 8 metres east of its
junction with West Park to a point 16 metres east of its junction with West Park. Schedule 2 - On
Street Pay & Display - Max 3 Hours Stay, No Return Within 2 Hours - Mondays to Saturdays:
8.00am To 6.00pm & Sundays: 10.00am To 6.00pm Victoria Avenue, Harrogate, North side from a
point 16 metres east of its junction with West Park to a point 28 metres east of its junction with West
Park. Schedule 3 – Revocations North Yorkshire County Council (Harrogate, Knaresborough, Pannal
& Burn Bridge) (Parking & Waiting) (No 23) Order 2016 - in so far as it relates to Schedule 1 (On street
pay & display parking), Victoria Avenue; Item 119. A copy of the Order, which comes into operation on
26/05/25, together with a map showing the roads affected may be examined at County Hall,
Northallerton & at Harrogate Library, Victoria Avenue, Harrogate, HG1 1EG during normal office hours
from 22/05/25 to 27/06/25 & also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or
www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders. If you wish to question the validity of the above Order
