Manchester - Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic For Installing And Joint Cable For New Connection And Disconnection

What is happening?

MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL
 TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):

ORDER NO. MCC143535470: The City of Manchester (Kingsway, Didsbury East Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Kingsway. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Kingsway, Parrs Wood Lane. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate full width reinstatement. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 9th June 2025 to the 13th June 2025. The order shall come into operation on the 9th June 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 28th May 2025.
ORDER NO. MCC000143534508: The City of Manchester (Barlow Moor Road, Chorlton Park Ward)(Temporary Closure of Cycle Lane) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit any pedal cycle (and any pedestrian) from proceeding at any time in the following length of cycle lane: Barlow Moor Road, Cycle lane. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate installing and joint cable for new connection and disconnection. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 9th June to 13th June and 14th July to 18th July 2025. The order shall come into operation on the 9th June 2025and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 28th May 2025. 
ORDER NO. MCC143534866: The City of Manchester (Elmsdale Avenue, Higher Blackley Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Elmsdale Avenue. The alternative routes for traffic will be: N/A. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate a New cable Connection. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 9th June 2025 to 13th June 2025. The order shall come into operation on 9th June 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
