What is happening?

CROY ROAD, COATBRIDGE (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
On 19 May 2025 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on carriageway resurfacing works) on Croy Road, Coatbridge from its junction with Culzean Avenue/ Lismore Drive/ Barra Avenue eastwards on Croy Road approx. 500m or thereby to its junction with Brownshill Avenue by reason of works being executed on or near that location.
Alternative routes: Barra Avenue, Ailsa Road, Brownshill Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure.
Vehicular access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure.
The Order, will come into operation at 0001 hours on Monday, 2nd June 2025 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Friday, 13th June 2025.
