Dorset - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Maintenance and Resurfacing works
What is happening?

Temporary Traffic Management Order of B3070, East & West Lulworth
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 12 June 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 25 June 2025.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.
[1] To impose a temporary speed restriction of 10mph to facilitate the use of a convoy working vehicle along B3070, East and West Lulworth from junction with B3071 to junction with C113 Whiteway (in both directions), a distance of approximately 2190 metres.
[2] To impose clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along B3070, East and West Lulworth from junction with B3071 to junction with C113 Whiteway (in both directions), a distance of approximately 2190 metres. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Traffic Management Order, Queens Avenue, Dorchester
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 27 May 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, the works will be completed in two phases, 27 May - 1 June 2025 & 22 October - 2 November 2025.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out drainage improvement works.
The effect of the Order will be:
[1] To impose temporary road closure on Queens Avenue between its junctions with Weymouth Avenue and Lime Close
[2] To impose temporary clearway on Queens Avenue between its junctions with Weymouth Avenue and Lime Close to prevent vehicles from stopping except those associated with the works.
Please note that any vehicle waiting in contravention of temporary parking restrictions may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. If a vehicle has been removed, the owner must contact the Council’s vehicle recovery contractor: Ashleywood Recovery Ltd/Bride Valley Recovery Ltd on 01305 889421.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Closure of Fair Mile Road, Bryanston
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles, cyclists and horse riders are prohibited from proceeding along Fair Mile Road, Bryanston at its junction with Dorchester Hill and its adjacent layby on site. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 2 June 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 25 July 2025.
This Order will enable M&J Evans Construction Ltd to carry out footway and carriageway alteration and development works.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

It will come into operation on 16 June 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 27 June 2025.
