Notice is hereby given that the Council made Orders under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Crossfield St (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2025

The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Crossfield St (northbound traffic) from its jct. with Nicholson St to its jct. with Midland Way. The Order will be effective from 11th June 2025. The closure is for a period of 1 day. The alternative route will be via Liverpool Rd, Sankey Way, Priestley St & Froghall Ln. The closure is required to allow United Utilities to carry out a new water connection.

Footway Closure – Saturday 24th May 2025 to Sunday 25th May 2025:

Victoria Park:

The footbridge in the park will be closed from Saturday 24th May 2025 for a period of 3 days as detailed above. The Order is required to facilitate The Neighbourhood Weekender Music Festival.

Alternative routes will be clearly signed and will be via Midland Way, Froghall Ln, Liverpool Rd, Sankey Way, Parker St, Slutchers Ln, Slutchers Ln Pedestrian Bridge & Slutchers Ln Subway.

Various Rd’s in Stockton Heath (Prohibition of Driving & Clearway) Temporary Order 2025

The effect of which is to introduce the following:

Prohibition of Driving & Clearway:

Entire lengths of road: Beech Rd; Farrell Rd; Algernon St; Chadwick Ave; Pike St; Victoria Rd; Warburton St;

Part length of road: Ellesmere Rd from the jct. with Osborne Rd to the jct. with Francis Rd.

The Order will be effective from 2nd June 2025. The restrictions are for a period of 14 weeks, between 8:30am & 5:30pm. The alternative routes will be as follows: Beech Rd via Carlton St, Cawdor St, Farrell Rd & vice versa; Farrell Rd via Beech Rd, Carlton St, Cawdor St & vice versa; Chadwick Ave via Mill Ln, Ackers Ln, Limetree Ave & vice versa; Ellesmere Rd via Osborne Rd, Stetchworth Rd, Walton Heath Ave, Francis Rd & vice versa; Pike St via Gaskell St, Fairfield Rd, Warburton St & vice versa; Victoria Rd via Grappenhall Rd, Parkgate Rd, Alexandra Rd & vice versa or via Grappenhall Rd, London Rd, Fairfield Rd, Alexandra Rd & vice versa; Warburton St via Pike St, Gaskell St, Fairfield Rd & vice versa.

The restrictions are required for road & footway surfacing.
