Various Locations, Hucknall and Sutton in Ashfield - Temporary Prohibition of Driving
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS LOCATIONS, HUCKNALL AND SUTTON IN ASHFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025 (A25-071)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads in the District of Ashfield The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
a. Trent Drive, Hucknall - For its entire length
b. Cowpes Close, Sutton in Ashfield - For its entire length
c. Goodall Crescent, Hucknall - For its entire length
d. Willow Avenue, Hucknall - For its entire length
e. Laughton Crescent, Hucknall - From its junction with Robin Hood Drive in a south easterly direction for 50 metres
f. Portland Grange, Hucknall - From its junction with Wood Lane in a northerly direction for 50 metres
g. Conway Road, Hucknall - For its entire length
h. Wings Drive, Hucknall - For its entire length
2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (both sides) (at all times) in the following length of road
a. Trent Drive, Hucknall - For its entire length
b. Cowpes Close, Sutton in Ashfield - For its entire length
c. Goodall Crescent, Hucknall - For its entire length
d. Willow Avenue, Hucknall - For its entire length
e. Laughton Crescent, Hucknall - From its junction with Robin Hood Drive in a south easterly direction for 50 metres
f. Portland Grange, Hucknall - From its junction with Wood Lane in a northerly direction for 50 metres
g. Conway Road, Hucknall - For its entire length
h. Wings Drive, Hucknall - For its entire length
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 08:00 hours until 15:30 hours only From Tuesday 27th May until Thursday 10th July 2025 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
a. Trent Drive, Hucknall - No alternative route available
b. Cowpes Close, Sutton in Ashfield - No alternative route available
c. Goodall Crescent, Hucknall - No alternative route available
d. Willow Avenue, Hucknall - Harrow Road - Robin Hood Drive and vice versa
e. Laughton Crescent, Hucknall - Willow Avenue - Harrow Road - Knoll Avenue - Shaw Crescent - Norman Drive and vice versa
f. Portland Grange, Hucknall - No alternative route available
g. Conway Road, Hucknall - No alternative route available h. Wings Drive, Hucknall - Westland Avenue - Merlin Drive - Avon Avenue and vice versa
The Order will come into force on 27th May 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out carriageway patching repairs;
