KIRKLEES COUNCIL - ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14
(ROYD ROAD, MELTHAM, HOLMFIRTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Royd Road, Meltham, from its junction with Hebble Lane to approximately 170 metres south of Hebble Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
No diversion.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 9 June 2025 08:00 hours and remain in force until 13 June 2025 17:00 hours (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(BRIDGE LANE, HOLMFIRTH, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Bridge Lane, Holmfirth at a point approximately opposite property no. 10 Bridge Lane to a point approximately outside property no. 12 Bridge Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Bridge Lane, Huddersfield Road, Victoria Street, Town Gate, Station Road, Back Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday 11 June 2025 19:00 hours and remain in force until 13 June 2025 23:00 hours (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(PARK SIDE, HOLMFIRTH, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Park Side, Holmfirth from its junction with Bank Street to its junction with St Georges Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via St George’s Road, Totties Lane, Greenhill Bank Road, Holmfirth Road, Sheffield Road, Bank Street and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 9 June 2025 08:00 hours and remain in force until 7 July 2025 18:00 hours (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(DENBY LANE, GRANGE MOOR, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Denby Lane, Grange Moor from a point outside property no. 32 Denby Lane and approximately 25 metres to the side of property no. 12 Denby Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday 11 June 2025 and remain in force for approximately one day. (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(NEW HEY ROAD, OUTLANE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of New Hey Road, Outlane from its junction with Quebec Road to its junction with Marsden Gate PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via New Hey Road, Stainland Road, Clay Pit Lane, Green Lane, Back Bowling Green Road, Beestonley Lane, Stainland Road, Saddleworth Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Thursday 12 June 2025 20:00 and remain in force until 14 June 2025 05:30 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(BACK LANE, GRANGE MOOR, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Back Lane, Grange Moor from its junction with Wellfield Avenue to a point approximately outside property no.51 Back Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Back Lane, Fixby Lane, Briestfield Road, Wellfield Avenue and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Friday 30 May 2025 07:30 and remain in force until 27 June 2025 17:30 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(BANKS DRIVE, GOLCAR, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO 2) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Banks Drive, Golcar from junction of Banks Drive to side of 63 Banks Crescent PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Banks Drive, Banks Side, Banks Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 26 May 2025 and remain in force until 30 May 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(BRIDGE STREET/SCHOOL LANE, NEWSOME, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Bridge Street/School Lane, Newsome, from a point approximately outside property no.43 School Lane to its junction with Wain Park PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Waingate, Woodhead Road, Bridge Street, Meltham Road, Lockwood Road, Colne Road, Queen Street South, Firth Street, (clockwise only) Kings Bridge Road, Newsome Road, Newsome Road South, Bridge Street and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 27 May 2025 and remain in force until 29 May 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(POLE GATE/MOOR SIDE LANE/ CRIMEA LANE, SLAITHWAITE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Pole Gate/Moor Side Lane/Crimea Lane, Slaithwaite at a point approximately outside property no.2 Barrett Clough Head on Moor Side Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Pole Gate, New Hey Road, Quebec Road, Waller Clough Road, Crimble Clough Road, Radcliffe Road, Crimble Bank, Hill Top Road, Royd Street, Longlands Road, Heys Lane, Tiding Field Lane, Moor Side Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 27 May 2025 and remain in force until 16 June 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(BUNKERS HILL, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Bunkers Hill, Holmfirth at a point approximately outside property no.12 Rattle Row PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
No diversion possible.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 26 May 2025 and remain in force until 6 June 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(ROTCHER LANE, SLAITHWAITE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO 4) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Rotcher Lane, Slaithwaite from its junction with Blackstone Road to a point approximately near property no. 11 Rotcher Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be car ried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
No diversion required, road leads onto a footpath.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 27 May 2025 and remain in force until 29 May 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(UNRECORDED PROW BETWEEN DEN/28/10 AND MARSDEN STREET, SKELMANTHORPE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the footpath has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in that length of unrecorded PROW between Public Footpath DEN/28/10 and junction with Marsden Street, Skelmanthorpe PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to persons carrying out the proposed works.
Alternative routes for persons affected by the closure will be available via DEN/28/10, Access to 90-96 Station Road, Station Road, Saville Road, Marsden Street and vice versa.
The closure which came into operation on 12 July 2024 has been extended with permission of the Secretary of State for Transport to remain in force for a further period until 18 December 2025 (Any further extension will again require the permission of the Secretary of State).
