Hebden Bridge Road, Temporary Road Closure Due To Construction Works
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL HEBDEN BRIDGE ROAD, OXENHOPE TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of construction works proposed to be executed on or near Hebden Bridge Road, Oxenhope intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Hebden Bridge Road from the entrance to The Keepers Lodge for approximately 100 metres south of Keepers Lodge.
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available via Hebden Bridge Road (unaffected section), Keighley Road, Commercial Street, Burnley Road, Aachen Way, King Cross Street, Burdock Way, Ovenden Road, Keighley Road, Wrigley Hill, Keighley Road, Halifax Road, New Road, Main Road, Keighley Road, Halifax Road, Haworth Road, Hebden Road, Keighley Road, Hebden Bridge Road and vice versa.
The proposed Order will come into effect at 08:00 hours on the 2nd June 2025 and remain in force until 18:00 hours on the 26th September 2025 (although the closure can remain in force for up to eighteen months if necessary).
