What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH WIDFORD 25

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Widford 25, heading south and west from junction with Widford 26 to Widford 18, for an approximate distance of 625m.

Alternative Route: via Widford 18/Wareside 84 Restricted Byway and Widford 18 Footpath

The purpose of the Order is to enable water course works to take place.

The section of Footpath Widford 25 will be closed on or after 09 June 2025 for up to 8 weeks, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROCKFIELD AVENUE, WARE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Rockfield Avenue, Ware from its junction with Cranbrook Close south westwards for a distance of approximately 15m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Rockfield Avenue, Heath Drive and Rockfield Avenue.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 11 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BROMLEY LANE, MUCH HADHAM) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bromley Lane, Much Hadham from its junction with C15 (unnamed road) north westwards for a distance of approximately 207m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via C15 (unnamed road), The Ford, The Ash, Standon Road, A120 (Standon Road/Stortford Road), High Street, Hadham Road and Bromley Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 10 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BURTON LANE, GOFFS OAK) ORDER NO.2 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Burton Lane, Goffs Oak from its junction with Elizabeth Gardens southwards and south westwards to its junctions with B156 Goffs Oak, a distance of approximately 253m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Burton Lane, St James Road, Newgatestreet Road and B156 Goffs Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 10 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS ROADS IN TURNFORD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) will be:-

1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from the southbound carriageway of A10 Great Cambridge Road into the westbound carriageway of Vancouver Road, Turnford, whilst works are in progress.

An alternative route will be via southbound carriageway of A10 Great Cambridge Road the B156 Halfhide Lane roundabout and northbound carriageway of A10 Great Cambridge Road.

2. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a left turn manoeuvre from the eastbound carriageway of Vancouver Road into the northbound carriageway of A10 Great Cambridge Road, Turnford whilst works are in progress.

An alternative route will be via southbound carriageway of A10 Great Cambridge Road, the B156 Halfhide Lane roundabout and northbound carriageway of A10 Great Cambridge Road.

3. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from the eastbound carriageway of Vancouver Road into the southbound carriageway of A10 Great Cambridge Road, Turnford, whilst works are in progress.

An alternative route will be via northbound carriageway of A10 Great Cambridge Road, the A10 Turnford Link Road/B176 High Street roundabout and the southbound carriageway of A10 Great Cambridge Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 9 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON B198 COLLEGE ROAD AND A10 GREAT CAMBRIDGE ROAD, CHESHUNT) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) will be:-

1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B198 College Road, Cheshunt from its junction with A10 Great Cambridge Road north eastwards to its junction with Blindmans Lane, a distance of approximately 167m, except for access.

An alternative route will be via A10 Great Cambridge Road, College Road, Churchgate, B156 Churchgate Road, Church Lane, B176 (High Street/Turners Hill) and B198 College Road or via B198 College Road, B176 (Turners Hill/High Street), Church Lane and A10 London Road.

2. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making left turn manoeuvre from the southbound carriageway of A10 Great Cambridge Road into B198 College Road, Cheshunt whilst works are in progress.

An alternative route will be via A10 Great Cambridge Road, College Road, Churchgate, B156 Churchgate Road, Church Lane, B176 (High Street/Turners Hill) and B198 College Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 9 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CHURCH LANE, CHESHUNT) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Church Lane, Cheshunt from its junction with A10 Great Cambridge Road north westwards to its junction with Whitefields Road, a distance of approximately 130m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Church Lane, B176 (High Street/Turners Hill), B198 College Road, College Road, B156 Churchgate Road and Church Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 10 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HAMMONDSTREET ROAD, CHESHUNT) ORDER NO.2 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hammondstreet Road, Cheshunt from a point 245m south east of its junction with the Dahlia Close roundabout south eastwards for a distance of approximately 80m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Hammondstreet Road, Newgatestreet Road, B156 (Goffs Lane/Churchgate Road/ Flamstead End Road), Flamstead End Road, Longfield Lane, Dig Dag Hill and Hammondstreet Road.

The Order is needed because utility service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 9 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SOUTH STREET, HERTFORD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of South Street, Hertford from its junction with Fore Street north westwards for a distance of approximately 25m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Fore Street, Market Street, Railway Street and South Street or via South Street, Railway Street, Mill Road, A119 Ware Road and Fore Street.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 7 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE SERVICE ROAD FRONTING NOS.212-226 GOFFS LANE, BROXBOURNE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the service road fronting Nos.212-226 Goffs Lane, Broxbourne from a point 35m north east of its junction with Wolsey Avenue north eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because electrical connection works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 27 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN DARK LANE, CHESHUNT) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Dark Lane, Cheshunt from its junction with Bury Green Lane north eastwards to its junction with B156 Goffs Lane, a distance of approximately 750m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Bury Green Lane, Cromwell Avenue, Churchgate and B156 Goffs Lane.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 28 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WALKERN ROAD, WATTON AT STONE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Walkern Road, Watton at Stone from a point 30m south east of its junction with Beane Road north westwards to its junction with A602 Watton at Stone Bypass, a distance of approximately 267m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Walkern Road, High Street, Ware Road, A602 Ware Road, Whempstead Road, Town Lane and Walkern Road.

The Order is needed because utility installation works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 26 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ERMINE STREET, BUNTINGFORD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Ermine Street, Buntingford from a point 16m north west of its junction with Prestwick Drive south eastwards for a distance of approximately 46m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Ermine Street, A10 Buntingford Bypass, B1038 Baldock Road, High Street and Ermine Street.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 29 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Redan Road, Ware from its junction with Musley Hill north westwards for a distance of approximately 16m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Musley Hill, High Oak Road and Redan Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 28 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
