A1 Trunk Road, South of Little Ponton - Closure of Gaps In The Central Reservation Order

THE A1 TRUNK ROAD (SOUTH OF LITTLE PONTON, LINCOLNSHIRE)
(CLOSURE OF GAPS IN THE CENTRAL RESERVATION) ORDER 2025

National Highways Limited (Company no. 9346363) hereby gives notice that it has made an Order under sections 1(1), 2(1), and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the A1 Trunk Road south of Little Ponton, in the County of Lincolnshire.

The effect of the order, which comes into force Tuesday 27 May 2025, will be to close the gap in the central reservation of the A1 situated approximately -

1. 592 metres south of the centreline of its junction with Whalebone Lane, near Little Ponton;

2. 704 metres south of the centreline of its junction with Whalebone Lane, near Little Ponton; and

3. 741 metres south of the centreline of its junction with Whalebone Lane, near Little Ponton.

A copy of the Order, together with a plan and a Statement of the reasons for making the Order, may be inspected during opening hours at Grantham Library, Floor 1, Isaac Newton Shopping Centre, Newton Street, Grantham, NG31 6EE; Stamford Library, 30 High Street, Stamford, PE9 2BB, or may be seen at or obtained by application to Jodie Anderson at National Highways, The Cube, 199 Wharfside Street, Birmingham, B1 1RN; or obtained by emailing orders-birmingham@nationalhighways.co.uk.

Any person wishing to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in, the Order, on the ground that it is not within the powers with respect to the Order conferred by the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of, or of any instrument made under, any provision of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of 22 May 2025, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
