WALSALL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY

RESTRICTIONS) ACT, 1991

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLE TRAFFIC, ONE-WAY

TRAFFIC & CLEARWAY

(VARIOUS ROADS, WALSALL) ORDER NO. 1 JUNE 2025


Notice is hereby given that Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council intends, not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prevent any vehicles proceeding in that length of carriageway specified in Schedule 1 OTHER THAN in the direction specified in Schedule 2.

SCHEDULE 1
South Street, Walsall that is situated at its junction with
Corporation Street for a distance of 40 metres in a southerly
direction. (09:00 – 15:30) (Monday 9 June 2025, Tuesday 10
June 2025 and Wednesday 11 June 2025).
Reason for Order: For safe access to underground cables.
Works on behalf of: Sunbelt Rentals.

Northerly

And, prevent any vehicle from proceeding in the lengths of:
* STEPHENSON SQUARE, WALSALL that is situated at its junction with Edison Road. (Monday 2 June 2025 to Friday 6 June 2025).

Reason for Order: Gas main renewal.
Works on behalf of: Cadent.

* HIGH STREET, BROWNHILLS that is situated from its junction with Church Street to its junction with Brickiln Street. (20:00 – 05:00) (Wednesday 4 June 2025 and Thursday 5 June 2025).
Reason for Order: Frame and cover repair.
Works on behalf of: Severn Trent Water.

* BIRMINGHAM STREET, WILLENHALL that is situated at its junction with B4464
Walsall Road. (Saturday 7 June 2025 to Sunday 8 June 2025).
RUSSELL STREET, WILLENHALL that is situated at its junction with B4464
Walsall Road. (Saturday 7 June 2025 to Sunday 8 June 2025).

Reason for Order: Ducting works.
Works on behalf of: Netomnia.

* CHARLES CRESCENT, PELSALL that is situated from its junction with Groveside
Way to its junction with B4154 Norton Road (Monday 9 June 2025 to Friday 13
June 2025).

Reason for Order: Defect repair.
Works on behalf of: South Staffordshire Water.

* JESSEL ROAD, WALSALL that is situated from its junction with Cairns Street to
outside property number 74. (Monday 9 June 2025 to Friday 20 June 2025).
JESSEL ROAD, WALSALL that is situated from its junction with Cairns Street to
its junction with Bentley Lane. (Monday 23 June 2025 to Friday 4 July 2025).

Reason for Order: Gas main renewal.
Works on behalf of: Cadent.

* BODENS LANE, PHEASEY that is situated from its junction with Crook Lane for a
distance of 50 metres in a south easterly direction. (09:00 – 15:00) (Thursday 12
June 2025).

Reason for Order: Replace pole on verge.
Works on behalf of: RNR Traffic Management.

* LEAMORE LANE, WALSALL that is situated at its junction with Odell Road for a
distance of approximately 15 metres in an easterly direction. (Saturday 14 June
2025 to no later than 06:00 on Monday 16 June 2025).

Reason for Order: Mains repair.
Works on behalf of: South Staffordshire Water.

And, prevent any vehicle from proceeding or stopping in that length of:
* TAME STREET, WALSALL that is situated from its junction with Alexandra Road
to its junction with West Bromwich Road. (08:00 – 16:00) (Tuesday 3 June 2025,
Wednesday 4 June 2025, Thursday 5 June 2025 and Friday 6 June 2025).

Reason for Order: Carriageway resurfacing.
Works on behalf of: Walsall Council

This ORDER will come into operation on Monday 2 June 2025. It is anticipated that the works
will be completed as close as possible to the dates above. Signed diversion routes (viewable
on the website one.network) will be in operation for affected traffic. The Order will remain in
force for a period of eighteen months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
