PUBLIC NOTICE
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(BROAD STREET & WEDNESFIELD ROAD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on the following stretches of road:
· Broad Street closed in both directions between its junctions with Ring Road and Wednesfield Road.
· Wednesfield Road closed in both directions between its junctions with Broad Street and Culwell Street. Vehicular Diversion Route: Ring Road St Davids, Horseley Fields, Lower Horseley Fields, Willenhall Road, Neachells Lane, Wednesfield Way, Wolverhampton Road and vice versa.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will
be undertaken daily from 26 May 2025 until 30 May 2025 between the hours of 00:01 and 06:00.
The Order is required to facilitate bridge examination works by Network Rail.
