Common Lane, South Cave - Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic to Enable the Works to Be Carried Out
What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (I)TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC COMMON LANE, SOUTH CAVE (PART)
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Common Lane, South Cave (between Wallingfen Lane and the side of E Borwn) commencing Friday 13 June 2025 (between 08.00 hours and 18.00 hours) to enable telecomms works.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.
The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 18 June 2025.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via Ellerker Lane, Water Lane, West End, Ferry Road, Sand Lane, Station Road, Eastfield, Westgate, Newport Road, M62 Junction 38 from Junction 37 Off Slip, M62 J38 Leave E, A63 M62 J38 Leave including two way section W, Main Road and Wallingfen Lane.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but access will be maintained for emergency vehicles. Further information can be obtained by contacting the council and asking for Highways Customer Care, telephone (01482) 393939.
