What is happening?

WAKEFIELD COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

(STATION LANE, FEATHERSTONE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 121) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to renew tarmac and road markings following renewal to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Station Lane, Featherstone. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Station Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Station Lane, Green Lane, Common Side Lane, Wakefield Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 24th May 2025 at 22.00 hours to 25th May 2025 at 09.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(HIGH STREET, CASTLEFORD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 131) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to replace cracked crossing to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: High Street, Castleford at the rail level crossing. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of High Street.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Albion Street, Wood Street, Methley Road, A639, Lumley Street, High Street & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 8th June 2025 between 00.05 hours to 08.30 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(ORCHARD HEAD CRESCENT, PONTEFRACT)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 132) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for fuse upgrade to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Orchard Head Crescent, Pontefract outside number 26 to junction of Orchard Head Crescent. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Orchard Head Crescent.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 9th June 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
