What is happening?

BUCKINGHAMSHIRE COUNCIL

THE COUNCIL INTENDS TO MAKE

(Public Footpath 4/3, Parish of Akeley) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2025 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length from junction of Church Hill and Akeley Footpath 4/3 and continues south west for approx. 55M.

The closure is required to allow for footway improvement works in the interest of public safety.

There is no suitable alternative route. The Order will come into operation on 27 May 2025, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.

(Public Bridleways Nos.15 & No.11 Biddlesden & Lillingstone Dayrell, Parish of Biddlesden) (Temporary Bridleway Closure) Order 2025 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Bridleway No.15 Biddlesden, from the boundary of Sawpit Wood to the junction of Public Bridleway No.11, Lillingstone Dayrell. And from Public Bridleway No.11, Lillingstone Dayrell North east for approximately 1800m to the Northampton County Boundary.

The closure is required for Security whilst Silverstone Events take place for the British Grand Prix and the Moto GP. There is no suitable alternative route. This Order shall be in operation on the dates specified in the Schedule below.
