What is happening?

(Worthing: Wallace Avenue)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Wallace Avenue in Worthing from its junction with West Parade northwards to its junction with Gerald Road. The road closure is needed to allow gas mains to be replaced in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 9 June 2025 and remain in force until 15 August 2025. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Worthing: Guildford Road)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Guildford Road in Worthing from its junction with South Street, eastwards for 30M.

The road closure is needed to allow gas mains to be replaced in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 9 June 2025 and remain in force until 4 July 2025. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Sompting: Loose Lane and Sylvan Road)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Loose Lane in Sompting from its southern junction with Peveril Close, southwards for 120M, and Sylvan Road, from its junction with Loose Lane, eastwards to its junction with Avon Close.

The closure of these roads is needed to allow a new sewer connection to be installed in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 27 May 2025 and remain in force until 29 August 2025. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Ferring: Ferring Street)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Ferring Street in Ferring, from the entrance to Oaklands, northwards for 40M. The Order also temporarily suspends the one-way traffic restriction on Ferring Street to maintain access.

The road closure is needed to allow a new gas main to be connected. The Order will come into effect on 27 May 2025 and remain in force until 2 June 2025. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.
