THE EAST DUNBARTONSHIRE COUNCIL (CAMPBELL DRIVE, COLQUHOUN DRIVE, GLENBURN ROAD, THORN ROAD, AND COLLYLINN ROAD, BEARSDEN)
(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
On 22 May 2025 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so) on the lengths of road specified in the Schedule below by reason of works being executed on or near this road.
This Order will operate from 06.00 hours on Monday, 02 June 2025 until 18.00 hours on Sunday, 20 July 2025. The temporary road closures will only come into operation when road closure and diversion route signing is in place. The temporary road closures will be carried out in phases and at times two side roads will be closed at once during phases of the works.
As part of the works, rolling temporary two and three way traffic signals incorporating pedestrian crossing facilities as required will also be used to control traffic movements on the A809 Drymen Road, Bearsden between its junction with Campbell Drive and its junction with Ledcameroch Road, Bearsden from 9.30am on Monday 02 June 2025 for approximately two months. The temporary traffic signals will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm each day. The use of temporary traffic signals may result in delays to traffic in the area.

1. Campbell Drive, Bearsden, closed from its junction with the A809 Drymen Road, Bearsden westwards for a distance of 10 metres or thereby.
Alternative routes will be by way of the A809 Drymen Road, South Erskine Park, Thorn Drive, and Glenburn Road, Bearsden, and these routes will be sign posted.
2. C olquhoun Drive, Bearsden, closed from its junction with the A809 Drymen Road westwards for a distance of 10 metres or thereby.
Alternative routes will be by way of the A809 Drymen Road, South Erskine Park, Thorn Drive, and Glenburn Road, Bearsden, and these routes will be sign posted.
3. Glenburn Road, Bearsden, closed from its junction with the A809 Drymen Road westwards for a distance of 10 metres or thereby.
Alternative routes will be by way of the A809 Drymen Road, Colquhoun Drive, Thorn Drive, Thorn Road, Whitehill Road, and Ledcameroch Road, Bearsden, and these routes will be sign posted.
4. Thorn Road, Bearsden, closed between its junction with the A809 Drymen Road and its junction with Whitehill Road, Bearsden.
Alternative routes will be by way of the A809 Drymen Road, Ledcameroch Road, Whitehill Road, Thorn Road, Thorn Drive and Colquhoun Drive, Bearsden, and these routes will be sign posted.
5. Collylinn Road, Bearsden, closed from its junction with the A809 Drymen Road westwards for a distance of 10 metres or thereby.
Alternative routes will be by way of the A809 Drymen Road, Ledcameroch Road, Whitehill Road, Thorn Road, Thorn Drive, and Colquhoun Drive, Bearsden, and these routes will be sign posted.
THE EAST DUNBARTONSHIRE COUNCIL (A809 STOCKIEMUIR ROAD)
(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
On 22 May 2025 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order
under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which makes it
unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle
(with the exception of emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works,
and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of
road when its safe and practical to do so) on the A809 Stockiemuir Road between
its junction with Craigton Road, Milngavie and its junction with Broadmeadow Road
by reason of works being executed on or near this road.
This Order will operate from 06.00 hours on Monday, 02 June 2025 until 18.00
hours on Sunday, 08 June 2025.
Alternative Routes
Alternative routes will be by way of the A809, the B8050 and the B8030 through
Milngavie, the A81 and the B834 near Croftamie, and these routes will be sign posted.
