Tapners Road (C57) Leigh
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 21 May 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Tapners Road (C57) Leigh which extends from its junction with The Glebe (D598) to the northwestern property boundary line of “No. 1, Dawes Green Cottages”. 

Alternative Route – Tapners Road (C57), Bunce Common Road (C58), Shellwood Road (C54), Broad Lane (C59), Partridge Lane (C60), Blanks Lane (C61), Stan Hill (C61), Norwood Hill (D330), Smalls Hill Road (C57) and Tapners Road (C57) or the same route in reverse.

This Order is required to allow Road Traffic Management Ltd to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 6 days, between 8:00am and 5:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 26 May 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.


C55 Headley Road and C55 Clay Lane, Leatherhead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 21 May 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of C55 Headley Road and C55 Clay Lane, Leatherhead that extends from the junction with The Drive, to the junction with C56 Tilley Lane. 

This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach to gain access to existing telegraph pole(s) to provide fibre overhead cabling and/or to carry out maintenance works in C55 Headley Road, Leatherhead that extends from the south-western property boundary of “No.3 Highlands Farm Cottages”, eastward for a distance of 1170m. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 4pm within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 June 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, equestrians, cyclists and pedestrians will be maintained at all times under direction of site operatives. Alternative route: – Headley Road, By-Pass Road, Reigate Road, Mill Way, Leech Lane, Tot Hill, Church Lane, Clay Lane and Headley Road.


D2613 Woodfield Lane, Ashtead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024

“The Surrey County Council D2613 Woodfield Lane, Ashtead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024” which was made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, on the grounds that works were being or were proposed to be executed on, or near, the above mentioned road and came in to operation on 11 June 2024, was due to expire on 10 June 2025 and which prohibits vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D2613 Woodfield Lane, Ashtead that is crossed by the level crossing and for a distance of 10m either side, has been extended by Surrey County Council until 10 December 2025.

The Temporary Traffic Order is required to enable Network Rail/Centurion to carry out inspections and/or maintenance works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out in phases within the additional period of operation of the Temporary Order, which commenced on 11 June 2024. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

There is no alternative route for traffic however access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.


Hooley Lane (C222) Redhill
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 21 May 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the westbound carriageway of Hooley Lane (C222) Redhill as extends from its eastern junction with (D1266) Brook Road westwards for a distance of 35 metres.

Alternative Route – Hooley Lane; Philanthropic Road; Redstone Hollow; A25 Redstone Hill; A23 Marketfield Way/Brighton Road; and Brook Road or this same route in reverse. 

The Order is required to allow new telecoms installation works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Marjen Ltd and/or Waldon Telecoms within the length of road described in this notice. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over nine days between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 03 June 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including residents, will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.


Station Road (C72) Woldingham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 16 May 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Station Road (C72) Woldingham between its junction with Church Road (D1363)/ Woldingham Road (C72) and its junction with Croft Road (D1362/N35144)/Long Hill (N35143).

Alternative Route – Woldingham Road, Halliloo Valley Road, Slines Oak Road, B269 (Limpsfield Road), The Ridges, Northdown Road and Station Road, or this route in reverse.

The Order is required to allow Connick Tree Care to facilitate tree removal, branch reduction and all associated works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 2 June 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.


Lyons Court (D2844) Dorking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 16 May 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Lyons Court (D2844) Dorking between its junction with High Street (A25) to the western boundary of the property known as “112 High Street”.

Alternative Route – A25 (High Street and Reigate Road), A24 (Deepdene Avenue), Chart Lane, Marlborough Hill and Marlborough Road, or this route in reverse. 

The Order is required to allow UKPN and SES Water to facilitate new electrical and water connections and all associated works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 weeks during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 2 June 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.


St Mary’s Road (D1222) Reigate
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 16 May 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of St Mary’s Road (D1222) Reigate as it extends from its junction with Bell Street (A217) to its junction with Lymden Gardens (D1222).

Alternative Route – A217 (Bell Street), Parkgate Road, Howard Road and St Mary’s Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable the Council to facilitate highways maintenance and associated works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 2 June 2025 for 4 days. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.


Bridge Street (D2885) Leatherhead
Temporary Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Unloading Order 2025

On 21 May 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Sections 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting, loading, and unloading at any time, by vehicles in that length of (a) the south western carriageway of Bridge Street (D2885) Leatherhead as extends from a point in line with the common boundary between property No.17 and No.19 Bridge Street to a point in line with the common boundary between property No.47 and No.49a Bridge Street; and; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council (Various Roads in Mole Valley) (Revocation and Consolidation of Waiting, Loading and Unloading Prohibition and Restriction) Order 2017” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in Part (a) of this Notice. 

This Temporary Order is required to facilitate gas disconnection works for, or on behalf of SGN. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 02 June 2025. 

This temporary restriction, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and only to such extent as indicated by those traffic signs. 

Exemptions apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force. (N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).


Westcott Street (D272) Westcott
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 21 May 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Westcott Street (D272) Westcott as extends from its junction with (X14105) The Paddock to its junction with (D2804) Balchins Lane and (D272) Hole Hill.

Alternative Route: Balchins Lane, (A25) Coast Hill, (A25) Guildford Road, and Westcott Street, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate telecom utility works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 02 June 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.


Extension to the Surrey County Council Rushetts Road (D1295) Reigate
Temporary Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Unloading Order 2024

“The Surrey County Council Rushetts Road (D1295) Reigate Temporary Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Unloading Order 2024”, which was made under Section 14(1) and 15(8)(B) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, on the grounds that works were being or proposed to be executed on, or near, the above-mentioned road and came into operation on 05 June 2024 was due to expire on 05 June 2025 and which prohibits waiting, loading, and unloading at any time, by vehicles on the northern side of the carriageway in that length of Rushetts Road (D1295) Reigate from a point in line with the common boundary between property No.36 and No.38 Rushetts Road and for a distance of 50 metres in a westerly direction along Rushetts Road, has been extended by Surrey County Council until 05 December 2025. 

This Temporary Traffic Order is required to allow construction works and/or maintenance works for, or on behalf of Walker Construction (UK) Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible, between the hours of 7.30am and 5pm, Monday to Friday only, within the additional 6-month period operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commenced on 05 June 2024. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary restriction will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and only to such extent as indicated by those traffic signs. Exemptions apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force. (N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).


Tithepit Shaw Lane (D1382) Warlingham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Tithepit Shaw Lane (D1382) Warlingham between the access for the property known as “The Orchard” and the access for the property known as “Blossom Hill”. 

Alternative Route – Tithepit Shaw Lane.

The Order is required to allow SES Water to facilitate water mains work and all associated works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 16 June 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.4) 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice. 

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate footway works and/or carriageway asphalt preservation works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 9 June 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. 

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

Schedule
1. the entire length of D1169 Sutton Gardens, Merstham. Alternative Route – D1169 Weldon Way and D1169 Taynton Drive;

2. that length of B2036 Balcombe Road, Horley which extends from its junction with C64 Victoria Road southwards to the boundary between the Borough of Reigate and Banstead and West Sussex County Council. 

Alternative Route – B2036 Balcombe Road, A23 Balcombe Road, A23 Brighton Road, A23 Brighton Road (West Sussex), Gatwick Road (West Sussex), Radford Road (West Sussex) and B2036 Balcombe Road (West Sussex).

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.5) 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice. 

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate footway slurry works and/ or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 9 June 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. 

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

(a) the entire length of D399 Love Lane, Godstone; (b) that length of D395 Tilburstow Hill Road which extends from its junction with B2236 Eastbourne Road/ High Street to the southern boundary of Public Footpath No.128 (Godstone). Alternative Route – D395 Tilburstow Hill Road, D394 The Enterdent, B2236 Eastbourne Road and B2236 High Street;

2. that length of D424 Woodhurst Lane, Oxted which extends from its junction with Spring Lane southwards to the southern property boundary of Manorside. Alternative Route – A25 East Hill, D428 Rockfield Road, D428 Wolfs Hill, D472 Hurstlands, D428 Greenhurst Lane, D424 Hurst Green Road and D424 Woodhurst Lane;

3. the entire length of D385 Nutfield Road, Nutfield. Alternative Route – A25 Nutfield Road. 


D2558 Eastwick Drive, Bookham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D2558 Eastwick Drive, Bookham. 

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate carriageway asphalt preservation works and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 16 June 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. 

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. 

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

Alternative Route Phase 1 – from Westfield Drive South along Eastwick Drive turn left into Meadow Way, The Copse, turn right into The Glade, Kennel Lane, turn right into Lower Road and turn right back into Eastwick Drive. 

Alternative Route Phase 2 – from Meadow Way South along Eastwick Drive, turn left into Spring Grove, turn right into Kennel Lane, turn right into Lower Road and turn right back into Eastwick Drive. 

Alternative Route Phase 3 – from Spring Grove South along Eastwick Drive left into Richmond Way, left into Harecroft, left into Richmond way, right into Spring Grove-left into Kennel Lane and right back into Eastwick Drive.


Pixham Lane (B2038) Dorking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Pixham Lane (B2038) Dorking as extends from its roundabout with (A24) London Road to its junction with (D2856) Pixholme Grove. 

Alternative Route: (B2038) Pixham Lane, (A25) Reigate Road, (A24) Deepdene Avenue, and (A24) London Road, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to facilitate telecom utility works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 9.30am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 16 June 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.


The Crescent (B2122) Leatherhead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the south westbound carriageway of The Crescent (B2122) Leatherhead as extends from its junction with (B2122) Epsom Road to its junction with (D2537) Waverley Place. 

Alternative Route: (1) (B2122) Epsom Road, (B2122) Leret Way, (A245) Bull Hill, (A245) Station Road, (B2122) Waterway Road, (B2122) Guildford Road, (A246) Young Street, (B2450) Dorking Road, (B2033) Church Street, and (B2122) The Crescent; (2) (B2122) The Crescent, (B2033) Church Street, (B2450) Dorking Road, (A24) By-Pass Road, and (B2122) Epsom Road. 

This Order is required to facilitate spine cabling works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 nights, between the hours of 7pm and 5am, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 16 June 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. 

All other traffic will be required to follow the alternative route described above.


Cromwell Road (A25) Redhill
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Cromwell Road (A25) Redhill as extends from its junction with (D1264) Huntingdon Road to its junction with “The Belfry Shopping Centre” car park exit point. Alternative Route: (A25) High Street, (A23) Marketfield Way, (A23) Princess Way, (A25) London Road, (A25) Queensway, (A25) Station Road, and (A25) St Matthews Road, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to facilitate mobile crane works for, or on behalf of DSM Contract Lifting. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 7am and 11am, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 22 June 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians. 

All other traffic will be required to follow the diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

Public Footpath 102 (Reigate)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 13 May 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of Footpath 102 (Reigate) from its junction with Wiggie Lane at OS Grid Ref. 528405 151180 in a southerly direction for 225 metres to its junction with Footpath 122 (Reigate) at OS Grid Ref. 528407 150947. 

The Order is necessary in order to carry out works to install a new Electricity supply on behalf of UK power Networks. 

The closure will be in operation for a period of six months from 13 May 2025 or until completion of the works, if earlier. 

That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required. The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected. 

The alternative route for traffic from the northern end of closure will be: Along Wiggie Road in easterly then northerly direction to St Ann’s Road North, then proceed in a clockwise direction around the roundabout via Foxboro Road to St Ann’s Road, then continue in a southerly direction, crossing Keats Avenue and Wordsworth Mead, to the southern end of the closure. 

The alternative route for traffic from the southern end of the closure will be the reverse of the route described above.

The Public Footpath 102 (Reigate) Temporary Closure Order 2025] was made by the County Council under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
