What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OFYORKSHIRE COUNCIL

GIBSON LANE SOUTH, MELTON (PART)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed/from proceeding on foot/along Gibson Lane South, Melton (at and 20 metres either side of/on both approaches to Melton Level Crossing) commencing 1 June 2025 to allow for maintenance works to be carried out by Chevron Traffic Management Ltd on behalf of Network Rail.

The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works (which will be carried out between 00.25 hours and 07.55 hours) will be completed within the same day. There will be no alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure.
