DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL, ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (B6417 CLOWNE TO PLEASLEY AND ADJACENT
ROADS) (30MPH, 40MPH AND 50MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that, on the 15 May 2025 the Derbyshire County Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will come into operation on the 26 May 2025 and its effect is to introduce;
30 MPH SPEED LIMIT
Mooracre Lane, Bolsover
From its junction with Lawson Road to a point 60 metres East of the same junction.
40MPH SPEED LIMIT
B6417 Mansfield Road, Oxcroft
From a point 275 metres North of its junction with Oxcroft Lane to a point 107 metres North of Spring Lane.
Marlpit Lane, Bolsover
From its junction with the B6417 to a point 168 metres North East of its junction with Bennett Way.
Mooracre Lane, Bolsover
From its junction with the B6417 to a point 60 metres East of its junction with Lawson Road.
50MPH SPEED LIMIT
B6417 Mansfield Road, Clowne
From a point 76 metres North of the junction with Damsbrook Lane to a point 275 metres North of its junction with Oxcroft Lane.
B6417 Mansfield Road, Oxcroft
From a point 107 metres North of Spring Lane to a point a point 380 metres North of its junction with the A632 Langwith Road.
40MPH SPEED LIMIT (This is an administrative change only and speed limit signs on site will remain in their current location)
B6417 Rotherham Road, Hillstown
From a point 380 metres North of its junction with the A632 Langwith Road to a point 300 metres South of the same junction.
The opportunity will be taken to incorporate, into the made order, existing speed restrictions already in place and unaltered by this proposal.
Any permanent Traffic Regulation Orders made prior to this Order, insofar as they relate to the lengths of road listed above, will be revoked.
A copy of the Order and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection at the County Council’s principal offices known as County Hall on Smedley Street in Matlock between 9am and 5pm on each day from Monday to Friday and on request by emailing

until 6 weeks after the Order is made until 26 June 2025.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order, or any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the ground that a requirement of that Act or any relevant regulation made under it has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the 15 of May 2024 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
