What is happening?

U114 EASTCLIFFE FOOTWAY SPITTAL
(TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and in accordance with Regulation 7 of The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992 in that the following restrictions have continued to be in force on the U114 Eastcliffe Footway Spittal (“the Footway”) in the County of Northumberland.
Temporary Footway Closure:-
A temporary footway closure will continue to be in force and all users will be prohibited to use the U114 Eastcliffe footway Spittal from its point outside of no.10 Eastcliffe for a distance of 8 metres in a northerly direction (“the Footway”) in the County of Northumberland.
An alternative route is available for use via Eastcliffe Footway, Spittal Hall Road and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.
This Order came into force on the 13th May 2025 and will remain in force until the 30th May 2025.

The closure had been requested by Northumbrian Water to repair a water leak. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
