What is happening?
KIRKLEES COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14
(HIGH STREET, HECKMONDWIKE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of High Street, Heckmondwike from its junction with Milton Square to a point approximately 70 metres East on High Street PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via:
Eastward - High Street, Market Street, Walkley Lane, Heckmondwike Road, Cemetery Road, Huddersfield Road, Webster Hill, Dewsbury Ring Road, Halifax Road Westwards - Halifax Road, Dewsbury Ring Road, Huddersfield Road, Temple Road, Heckmondwike Road, Walkley Lane, Market Street, High Street
It is intended that the closure will commence on from 22:00 hours on Tuesday 27 May 2025 hours and will remain in force until 30 May 2025 at 06:00 hours (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(CHURCH ROAD, LIVERSEDGE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO 2) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Church Road, Liversedge, from its junction with Clough Lane to its junction with Roberttown Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Windy Bank Lane, Peep Green Road, Fall Lane, Roberttown Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 26 May 2025 08:00 and remain in force until 30 May 2025 18:00 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(SMITHIES LANE, BIRSTALL, BATLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Smithies Lane, Birstall, Batley from a point outside Wharfedale House for approximately 48 metres North along Smithies Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via:
Clockwise - Smithies Lane, Bradford Road, Kirkgate, Low Lane, Chapel Lane, Smithies Lane
Anti-clockwise - Smithies Lane, Market Street, Low Lane, Kirkgate,Bradford Road, Smithies Lane
It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 27 May 2025 and remain in force until 13 June 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(MEADOW LANE, DEWSBURY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Meadow Lane, Dewsbury from its junction with Mill Road to its junction with Hartley Street PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Mill Road, Bradford Road, Carlton Road, Meadow Lane and vice versa
It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 10 June 2025 18:00 hours and remain in force until 11 June 2025 04:00 hours (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(CHURCH ROAD, BIRSTAL, BATLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO 2) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Church Road, Birstal, Batley from a point approximately outside property no. 58 Church Road to its junction with Huddersfield PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Church Road, Brookroyd Lane, Huddersfield Road, Bradford Road and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 9 June 2025 and remain in force until 27 June 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
