Chellaston Lane - Temporary Road Closure For Major Gas Mains Replacement Scheme
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
CHELLASTON LANE, ASTON-ON-TRENT
WHEN: 11 June to 27 June 2025
WHERE: Chellaston Lane, Aston-on-Trent between its Jct. with Compton Avenue and its Jct. with Weston Road.
REASON: To facilitate major gas mains replacement scheme.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Chellaston Lane, Aston Lane, High Street, A514 Swarkestone Road, Bonnie Princes Roundabout, A514 Swarkestone Road, Swarkestones Road, Main Street, Weston Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re- open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
