THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF CALDERDALE

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025 (COMMERCIAL STREET, HALIFAX)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Roadway UK (TM) Ltd have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to turn right from Commercial Street to Wards End for a distance of approximately 17 metres PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 26th May 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 16th September 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(FOXEN LANE, MILL BANK)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Chevron Traffic Management have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Foxen Lane from its junction with Nathan Lane to No. 71 for a distance of approximately 120 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Mill Bank Road, Oak Lane, Rochdale Road, Royd Lane, Stoney Lane, Soyland Town Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 26th May 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 27th May 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 08:30 & 17:00.

(JIM ALLEN LANE, MIDGLEY)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by OCU Utility Services Ltd have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Jim Allen Lane from its junction with Towngate to Lydgate Farm for a distance of approximately 20 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Towngate, Midgley Road, Burnley Road, Luddenden Lane, Solomon Hill, and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 27th May 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 2nd June 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(UPPER SHAW WOOD ROAD, MANKINHOLES)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Sunbelt Rentals Ltd have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Upper Shaw Wood Road from its junction with New Road to Broad Gate for a distance of approximately 30 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. Access will be maintained for residents. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 27th May 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 28th May 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 21:00 & 03:00.

(VICTORIA ROAD, TODMORDEN)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Centurion Traffic Management have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Victoria Road 20 metres either side of Railway Bridge FRH6/2 for a distance of approximately 60 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Park Road, Oak Avenue, Ferney Lee Road, A646 Burnley Road. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 27th May 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 28th May 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 22:00 & 05:00.

(CHURCH LANE, HEBDEN BRIDGE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Yorkshire Water have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Church Lane from No. 1 to No. 4 for a distance of approximately 4 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Mytholm Bank, Glen View Road, Rawtonstall Bank, Badger Lane, Old Shaw Lane, New Shaw Lane, Smithy Lane, Smithwell Lane, Draper Lane,

Lee Wood Road, Heptonstall Road, Bankfoot and vice versa.

It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on

28th May 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 30th May 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(BOGGART LANE, SOWERBY BRIDGE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by OCU Group intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Boggart Lane from its junction with Sowerby Croft Lane to side of No. 2 for a distance of approximately 150 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is Harper Royd Lane, Hob Lane, Shaw Lane and vice versa. Resident access to be maintained. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 9th June 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 13th June 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(HIGHLANDS LANE, ILLINGWORTH)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Yorkshire Water intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Highlands Lane from No. 2 to No. 3 for a distance of approximately 2.6 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via unaffected part of Highlands

Lane, Whitehill Road, Moor Bottom Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 9th June 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 11th June 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(ROOLEY BANKS FOOTPATH TO WOOD CROFT, SOWERBY BRIDGE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Termrim Construction intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Rooley Banks Footpath from Rooley Banks to Wood Croft for a distance of 38 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to persons carrying out works on or near the footpath. The alternative route is via Broadway. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 9th June 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 7th September 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(NEWLANDS AVENUE FOOTPATH, SOWERBY BRIDGE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Termrim Construction intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Newlands Avenue Footpath from The Newlands to Wood Croft for a distance of 50 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to persons carrying out works on or near the footpath. The alternative route is via Newlands Avenue, Rooley Banks, Wood Croft. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 9th June 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 7th September 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(WOOD CROFT, SOWERBY BRIDGE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Termrim Construction intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Wood Croft from No.23 to No. 28 for a distance of approximately 43 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. Access will be available for residents. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 9th June 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 7th September 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(CHURCH BANK LANE, CRAGG VALE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Total Resources intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Church Bank Lane from The Hinchcliffe for a distance of approximately 40 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. No alternative route available. Access will be available for residents. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 10th June 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 10th June 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 09:00 & 15:00.

(THORNHILLS LANE, CLIFTON)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Total Resources intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Thornhills Lane from its junction with Thornhills Beck Lane to Clifton Common for a distance of approximately 1200 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Clifton Common, Highmoor Lane, Jay House Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 10th June 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 10th June 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 08:30 & 15:30.

(BRIDLEWAY TODMORDEN 009, TODMORDEN)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Secretary of State for

Transport has given a direction under section 15(5) of the

Road Traffic Regulation Act that the Borough Council of

Calderdale (Bridleway Todmorden 009, Todmorden) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022 (the “Order”) shall continue in force for a further period from the date it would have otherwise expired. The Order was made on 27 November 2024 for safety reasons (a bridleway). It came into force on 13 December 2024 and its effect is that no person shall proceed in the length of Bridleway Todmorden 009 from Point A to Point B (as per map on site) for a distance of approximately 137 metres. Had the direction not been given, the Order would have expired on 13 June 2025. It will now remain in force until either 13 June 2026 or the completion of the works, whichever is the sooner. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period. The prohibition does not extend to persons carrying out works on or near the bridleway. For alternative route see map on site.
