What is happening?

THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL (DRYDEN STREET) (TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025 – TEMP/25/49

The Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate SPEN refurbishment works, no person shall: (a) except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform, drive or cause or permit any motor vehicle to be driven otherwise than in an east to west direction on any part of; & (b) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle at any time on both sides of Dryden St from Pilrig St to Hawthornden Pl. Existing parking restrictions will be suspended on the affected sections of road described in (b). The alternative route for vehicular traffic with respect to the one-way restriction on Dryden St is via Dryden St, Spey Ter, Spey St and Pilrig St.

The Order shall have effect from 23/5/25 to 13/8/25.
