Kensington And Chelsea - Temporary Traffic Restrictions For Highway Improvement Works
What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
SCHEDULE I - SECTION 14 (1) (A) VARIOUS ROADS - TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
I. The Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea hereby give notice that to facilitate highway improvement works they have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose temporary restrictions on vehicular traffic in the sections of the streets as listed in paragraph
II below. In addition, the alternative routes are also shown. Directly affected residents will be notified in advance of the dates and anticipated duration of each closure. However, to allow for contingencies the order will remain in force for eighteen months.

1. Lexham Gardens - Closure at its junctions with Marloes Road, Pennant Mews and Cromwell Road and revoke of the one-way at its junctions with Lexham Gardens.
Alternative route for vehicular traffic is via with Marloes Road and Cromwell Road
2. Symons Street - Further Closure of Symons Street and revoke of the one-way at its junctions with Cadogan Gardens & Sloane Square. Alternative route for vehicular traffic is via King’s Road.
3. Sidar Road - Closure at its junctions with Mary Place and Wilsham Place,.
Alternative route for vehicular traffic is via St Anns Road
4. St Quintin’s Avenue - Closure at its junctions with Highlever Road, Wallingford Avenue. Alternative route for vehicular traffic is via with Barlby Road, Highlever Road, Pangbourne Avenue and Kelfield Gardens.
5. Dulford Street - Closure at its junctions with Clarendon Road and Walmer Road.
Alternative route for vehicular traffic is via with Clarendon Road, Clarendon Cross, Hippodrome Place and Bomore Road.
III. To facilitate the works being carried out the Order will ban waiting at any time in the sections of carriageway specified above whilst the works are being carried out.
IV. The Order came into effect on Thursday 8th May 2025 and under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act will continue in force until such time as all the works are completed.
V. Nothing in this Notice shall apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden.
VI. Nothing in this Notice shall apply to any vehicle being used in connection with the said works.
