York Road - Temporary 30 Mph Speed Limit

What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT)
ORDER 2025 YORK ROAD, HAYTON


East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order
the effect of which is to prohibit any person from
causing any vehicle to proceed at a speed exceeding
30 mph along the entire length of York Road, Hayton
commencing 9 June 2025 at 09.30 hours until
27 June 2025 at 15.30 hours.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
York Road, Hayton safe access to an Openreach joint
box to provide a new FTTP network, to be carried out
and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring
the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works
will be completed within 19 days.
The Order will commence 9 June 2025 and continue
in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or
until the works which it is proposed to carry out have
been completed, whichever is the earlier.
