York Road Service Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC YORK ROAD
SERVICE ROAD, POCKLINGTON
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the
date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of
which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding
along the full length of York Road Service Road,
Pocklington commencing 9 June 2025 until 27 June
2025 WEEKDAYS ONLY from 09.30 hours until
15.30 hours. The road closure is necessary to enable
BT access to Openreach joint boxes to provide a
new FTTP Network to be carried out in a manner
consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.
The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated
that the works will be completed within 19 days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road
closure will be via York Road and Canal Lane.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but access
will be maintained for emergency vehicles, residents
and pedestrians. Further information can be obtained
