What is happening?
HIGHWAYS
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make
the following Orders.
TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA
B2023 High Street, Royal Tunbridge Wells (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow permanent reinstatement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2023 High Street, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 10th June 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside property numbers 87 and 89, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any eastbound through traffic is via B2023 High Street, Vale Road, A26 London Road and vice versa.
The alternative route for any westbound through traffic is via A26 London Road, Vale Road, B2023 Vale Road, B2023 Grove Hill Road, Claremont Road, Mount Sion and vice versa.
Furnace Lane, Horsmonden TN12 7BX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Furnace Lane, Horsmonden, on or after 9th June 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Maryamma. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Yew Tree Green Road, B2162 Maidstone Road, The Heath, Furnace Lane and vice versa.
Goudhurst Road, Horsmonden TN12 8AG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow tree surgery works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Goudhurst Road, Horsmonden, on or after 15th June 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside The Wheelwrights Barn, between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Goudhurst Road, Ballards Hill, B2079 North Road, A262 The Plain, A262 West Road, A262 Clayhill, A262 Station Road, A262 Spelmonden Road, A262 Goudhurst Road, A262 Horsmonden Road, A21 Forstal Farm Roundabout, A262 Horsmonden Road, B2162 Horsmonden Road, B2162 Lamberhurst Road, The Heath, Goudhurst Road and vice versa.
Hill View Road, Rusthall TN4 8BQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow electric cable repairs to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hill View Road, Rusthall, on or after 27th May 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside 11. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hill View Road, Rusthall High Street, Meadow Road, Erskine Park Road and vice versa.
Sophurst Lane, Matfield TN12 7LH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sophurst Lane, Matfield, on or after 9th June 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Matfield Gate. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2160 Maidstone Road, A21 Kippings Cross Roundabout, A21 Hastings Road, A21 Blue Boys Roundabout, A21 Hastings Road, Cryals Road, Sophurst Lane and vice versa.
Spout Lane, Brenchley TN12 7AP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow tree felling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Spout Lane, Brenchley, on or after 27th May 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Bakers Hill Cottages. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Spout Lane, Tong Road, Fairmans Lane, Short Lane, Horsmonden Road, Spout Lane and vice versa.
Tibbs Court Lane, Matfield (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow electric cable repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tibbs Court Lane, Matfield, on or after 30th May 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Hopbine Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Tibbs Court Lane, Cryals Road, Petteridge Lane and vice versa.
