Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
MAIDSTONE AREA
Admiral Road, Hollingbourne (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow ducting installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Admiral Road, Hollingbourne, on or after 1st June 2025 for up to 31 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Bicknor Park. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Admiral Road, Hollingbourne Hill, Pilgrims Way, Broad Street Hill, Church Road, Admiral Road and vice versa.
B2163 Lower Street, Leeds ME17 1TL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow tree felling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2163 Lower Street, Leeds, on or after 28th May 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Abbey Mill House, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2163 Lower Street, B2163 Penfold Hill, A20 Ashford Road, Willington Street, A274 Sutton Road, A274 Maidstone Road, B2163 Leeds Road, B2163 Upper Street, B2163 Lower Street and vice versa.
Dunn Street, Bredhurst ME7 3NA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new ducting and fibre cables to be installed, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dunn Street, Bredhurst, on or after 1st June 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Willis Cottages, between the hours of 08:00 and 22:00 only, To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dunn Street, Lidsing Road, Hempstead Road, Hempstead Valley Drive, Hempstead Road, A278 Hoath Way Roundabout, A278 Hoath Way, A2 Bowater Roundabout, A2 London Road, Maidstone Road, Deanwood Drive, Maidstone Road, The Street, Dunn Street Road, Dunn Street and vice versa.
Forge Lane, Bredhurst ME7 3JR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Forge Lane, Bredhurst, on or after 10th June 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside The Grove. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Forge Lane, Chapel Lane, Dunn Street Road, Dunn Street, Lidsing Road, Forge Lane and vice versa.
Hackney Road, Maidstone ME16 8QZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow permanent reinstatement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hackney Road, Maidstone, on or after 10th June 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from property numbers 57 to 63, between the hours of 07:00 and 21:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hackney Road, Fant Lane, A26 Tonbridge Road, St Michaels Road, Upper Fant Road and vice versa.
Ham Lane, Lenham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ME17 2PZ TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow carriageway repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ham Lane, Lenham, on or after 9th June 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of A20 Ashford Road and Beacon Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A20 Ashford Road, Faversham Road, High Street, Ham Lane and vice versa.
Kenward Road, Yalding (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Kenward Road, Yalding, on or after 30th May 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Woodland House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hunt Street, B2010 Smiths Hill, B2010 Yalding Hill, Kenward Road and vice versa.
Lenham Road, Headcorn TN27 9TU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lenham Road, Headcorn, on or after 9th June 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of Artisan Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lenham Road, Headcorn Road, Liverton Hill, Headcorn Road, Lenham Road, Chartway Street, A274 North Street, A274 Sutton Valence Hill, A274 Headcorn Road, A274 Maidstone Road, A274 Mill Bank, Kings Road and vice versa.
Pilgrims Way, Lenham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ME17 1BT TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way, Lenham, on or after 30th May 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Flint Lane to the junction Marley Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pilgrims Way, Stede Hill, Flint Lane and vice versa.
Postley Road & Forest Hill, Maidstone ME15 6UU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow reinstatement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Postley Road & Forest Hill, Maidstone, on or after 27th May 2025 for up to 11 days or until the works have been completed.
Postley Road will be closed at the junction of Forest Hill. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Scragged Oak Road, Detling ME14 3HN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow new ducting to be installed, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Scragged Oak Road, Detling, on or after 26th May 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside The Meadows, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via White Hill Road, Cox Street, Scragged Oak Road and vice versa.
Stilebridge Lane, Marden (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stilebridge Lane, Marden, on or after 12th June 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Oakhurst. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stilebridge Lane, A229 Staplehurst Road, B2079 Maidstone Road, Underlyn Lane and vice versa.
Upper Street (Broomfield Road), Broomfield ME17 1PS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow tree felling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Upper Street (Broomfield Road), Broomfield, on or after 26th May 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Roses Manor Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Upper Street, Broomfield Road, Gravelly Bottom Road, Lenham Road, Chegworth Road, A20 Ashford Road, Broomfield Road, Lower Street and vice versa.
