Dover, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

HIGHWAYS

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,  makes or intends to make the following Orders.

DOVER AREA

A256 Buckland Avenue, Dover, CT17 0TG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A256 Buckland Avenue, Dover, on or after 27th May 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 16, between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A256 Crabble Hill, A256 London Road, A256 Whitfield Hill, A2 Between Whitfield Roundabout And Junction With A256, A2 Between Junction With A256 And Duke Of Yorks Roundabout, A2 Jubilee Way, A20 Townwall Street, A256 York Street, A256 Priory Road, A256 High Street, A256 London Road, Buckland Terrace, Cherry Tree Avenue and A256 Buckland Avenue.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

B2046 Adisham Road, Aylesham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2046 Adisham Road, Aylesham, on or after 27th May 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed either side of the Railway Bridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2046 Adisham Road, B2046 High Street, A257 Canterbury Road, A257 Wingham Road, A257 High Street, A257 The Hill, A257 Canterbury Road, A257 Littlebourne Road, A257 St Martin’s Hill, A257 Longport, A257 Lower Chantry Lane, A2050 New Dover Road, A2050 Dover Road, A2 Dover Road Slip East On, A2 Dover Road, A2 Barham Slip Eastbound Off,  B2046 Box Iron Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Agester Lane, Denton, CT4 6NP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Agester Lane, Denton, on or after 9th June 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Snode Hill to the entrance of Four Winds & Wycombe Villa, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Agester Lane, A260 The Street, A260 Canterbury Road, Snode Hill and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Boyes Lane, Goodnestone, CT3 1PE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Boyes Lane, Goodnestone, on or after 9th June 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the side of 12 Fitzwalters Meadow, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Boyes Lane, C230 Goodnestone Road Junction With Boyes Lane To Buckland Lane, Buckland Lane, Catsole Hill and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Cauldham Lane, Capel Le Ferne, CT18 7HG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cauldham Lane, Capel Le Ferne, on or after 27th May 2025 for up to 14 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from outside number 30 to outside number 36, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cauldham Lane, Hurst Lane, Capel Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Church Hill & Mill Lane, Shepherdswell, CT15 7LN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Hill & Mill Lane, Shepherdswell, on or after 27th May 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

Closures will be between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. Once works are completed on one road, works will commence on the next.

Church Hill will be closed from the junction of Mill Lane for approximately 196m in a Westerly direction, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Mill Lane will be closed between the junctions of Church Hill and Millfields, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mill Lane, Shepherdswell Road, Eythorne Road, Church Hill and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Coppin Street, Deal, CT14 6TR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Coppin Street, Deal, on or after 9th June 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from outside number 3 to outside number 7, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Coppin Street, Beach Street, Brewer Street, Middle Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Moat Lane, Ash, CT3 2AQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Moat Lane, Ash, on or after 9th June 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside 1 - 2 Moat Lane, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, New Street, Coombe Lane, Moat Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Ramsgate Road, Sandwich, CT13 9DX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ramsgate Road, Sandwich, on or after 1st June 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of High Street and Willowbank, between the hours of 21:15 and 05:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Ramsgate Road, Monks Way, A256 Sandwich Bypass, A258 Deal Road, Deal Road, Dover Road, New Street, Cattle Market, Harnet Street, Strand Street and High Street.

The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via High Street, The Chain, Galliard Street, New Street, Dover Road, Deal Road, A258 Deal Road, A256 Sandwich Bypass, Monks Way and Ramsgate Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Sandwich Road, Whitfield, CT16 3GT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sandwich Road, Whitfield, on or after 27th May 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside the Waste Water Pumping Station, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Sandwich Road, A2 between Whitfield Roundabout and Junction with A256, A2 Dover Road Slip Eastbound Off and A256 Whitfield Bypass.

The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via A256 Whitfield Bypass, A256 Link between Whitfield Interchange Roundabouts, A2 Dover Road Westbound Slip On, A2 between Whitfield Roundabout and Junction with A256 and Sandwich Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Thornton Lane, Eastry (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Thornton Lane, Eastry, on or after 9th June 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Thornton House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Thornton Lane, Thornton Road, Venson Road, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout, Dover Road, Lower Street, Mill Lane, Heronden Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Wellington Road, Temple Ewell, CT16 3AL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wellington Road, Temple Ewell, on or after 26th May 2025 for up to 26 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed as a rolling closure between the junctions of London Road and Park Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wellington Road, London Road, Temple Side, Target Firs, Green Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Various Roads, Dover (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Various Roads, Dover, on or after 29th May 2025 for up to 9 hours or until the works have been completed.

Restrictions will be between the hours of 21:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Castle Street will be closed from the junction of A256 Maison Dieu Road for approximately 165m in a Westerly direction. The one-way Order will be suspended between the junctions Market Square and Dolphin Passage, to allow access.

The one-way Order will be suspended on part of Market Square between the junctions of Cannon Street and Castle Street to allow access.

The one-way Order will be suspended on part of Cannon Street, between the junctions of Biggin Street and Market Square to allow access.

The one-way Order will be suspended on part of Biggin Street, between the junctions of Pencester Street and Cannon Street to allow access.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A258 Castle Hill Road, Connaught Road, A256 Frith Road, A256 Charlton Green, A256 Maison Dieu Road, Pencester Road, Biggin Street, Cannon Street, Market Square and Castle Street.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
