ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -

SECTION 14(1)

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(LEAF ROAD, HOUGHTON REGIS)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Leaf Road, Houghton Regis outside number 1.

This temporary closure is required to enable new water connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 10 to 13 June 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Leaf Road, Tithe Farm Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 10 June 2025 for a period of one month or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(LUTON ROAD, CHALTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Luton Road, Chalton next to Chalton Footpath 16.

This temporary closure is required to enable section 278 works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 10 to 13 June 2025 between the hours of 7pm and 6am. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via B579, B5120, A505, A5505, B5790 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 10 June 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CHALGRAVE ROAD, CHALGRAVE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Chalgrave Road, Tebworth and Chalgrave Road, Chalgrave.

This temporary closure is required to enable safe access to an underground structure and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from

9 to 13 June 2025 between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Toddington Road, B5120 and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 9 June 2025 for a period of one month or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(LANGDALE ROAD, DUNSTABLE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Langdale Road, Dunstable between First Avenue and Hilton Avenue.

This temporary closure is required to enable a CCTV survey on gully works to take place safely and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from

28 to 30 May 2025 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Garden Road, A5183, Meadway, Cainsworde Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 28 May 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

PROPOSES TO INTRODUCE A DISABLED PARKING BAY ON UNION STREET, DUNSTABLE

Reason for proposal: The disabled parking space would provide a dedicated place for blue badge holders to park.

Effect of the Order:

To introduce Parking for Disabled badge holders only on the following lengths of road in Dunstable:-

1. U nion Street, north-west side, from a point approximately 16 metres from the centre of the junction with Sandland Close (where the existing No Waiting at any Time restriction ends), and extending in a southwesterly direction, covering an area approximately 6.6 metres in length and 2 metres in width. Please see plan for clarification.
