What is happening?
HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN A4145 HAGDEN LANE, WATFORD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A4145 Hagden Lane, Watford from its junction with Euston Avenue south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Brightwell Road, a distance of approximately 487m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Hagden Lane, A412 (Rickmansworth Road/St Albans Road), the A412 St Albans Road/A411 Beechen Grove roundabout, A412 (St Albans Road/Rickmansworth Road), A4178 (Cassio Road/Metropolitan Station Road), A4145 Vicarage Road and A4145 Hagden Lane or via A4145 (Hagden Lane/Vicarage Road), A4178 (Ferrier Road/The Hornets/Merton Road/Cassio Road), A412 Rickmansworth Road and Hagden Lane.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of the Road, whilst the said works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 6 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROWLEY LANE, BOREHAMWOOD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Rowley Lane, Borehamwood from its junction with Elstree Way north eastwards for a distance of approximately 454m (“the Road”).
The alternative route will be via Well End Road, High Canons, Silver Hill, London Road, B5378 London Road, Harris Lane, Mimms Lane, Earls Lane, Blanche Lane, Cross Oak Lane, Summerswood Lane, Holmshill Lane and Rowley Lane.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 2 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF STATION ROAD, RICKMANSWORTH) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Station Road, Rickmansworth from its junction with Northway north westwards to its junction with Homestead Road, a distance of approximately 91m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Northway, Church Street, A412 (Riverside Drive/Rectory Road) and Homestead Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 2 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF MOOR LANE CROSSING, RICKMANSWORTH) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Moor Lane Crossing, Rickmansworth from its junction with Olds Approach north eastwards for a distance of approximately 79m (“the Road”), except for access.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 19 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF RADLETT ROAD, WATFORD) ORDER NO.2 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Radlett Road, Watford from its junction with Ebury Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 50m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Radlett Road, Queens Road, Woodstock Road, Clarendon Road, A411 Beechen Grove, A4008 Stephenson Way, Colonial Way and A412 Watford Road and Radlett Road, Colonial Way, A4008 Stephenson Way, A411 (Beechen Grove/Exchange Road/Beechen Grove), Loates Lane, Lord Street, Queens Road to The Broadway, Queens Road and Radlett Road.
The Order is needed because bridge inspection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 18 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF TOMS LANE, KINGS LANGLEY) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Toms Lane, Kings Langley from a point 125m north east of its junction with Primrose Hill north eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Toms Lane, Primrose Hill, Station Road, Gallows Hill, Watford Road, Langley Hill, Bedmond Road, High Street and Toms Lane or vice versa.
The Order is needed because electrical works are proposed to be executed near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 19 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN HORNHILL ROAD, MAPLE CROSS) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hornhill Road, Maple Cross from its junction with The Hawthorns north eastwards to its junction with Downings Wood, a distance of approximately 217m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Hornhill Road, Shire Lane, Rickmansworth Lane, Brawlings Lane, Gorelands Lane, Chalfont Road and Hornhill Road.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of the length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 19 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Kingswood Road, Watford from its junction with Perivale Gardens south westwards to its junction with Briar Road, a distance of approximately 482m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Briar Road.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of the length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 19 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED BETWEEN NO.51 AND NO.53 THE FAIRWAY, ABBOT’S LANGLEY) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated between No.51 and No.53 The Fairway, Abbots Langley from its junction with School Mead south eastwards for a distance of approximately 34m (“the Footpath”).
An alternative route is available for pedestrians while the works are being carried out. When approaching from the north east side of School Mead, the footpath situated on the south east side of Green View Court, the footpath situated on the west side of No.13 Butterstock Row, the footway situated on the north east side of The Fairway and the footpath linking Nos. 37-51 The Fairway.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 19 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN DERBY ROAD, WATFORD) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Derby Road, Watford from its junction with A411 Beechen Grove south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Grosvenor Road, a distance of approximately 131m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via A411 (Beechen Grove/Exchange Road/Beechen Grove), Loates Lane, Lord Street, Queens Road The Broadway, Queens Road, Kings Place, Gladstone Road and Grosvenor Road.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 19 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF LITTLE BUSHEY LANE, BUSHEY ORDER NO.2 2025)
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Little Bushey Lane, Bushey from a point in line with the southern boundary of No.129 Little Bushey Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 28m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Little Bushey Lane, Mendip Road, Pentland Road, Cotswold Avenue and Little Bushey Lane.
The Order is needed because water main repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 19 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
