What is happening?
GILLINGHAM & BROMPTON) (PARKING PLACES AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.42) ORDER 2025 NOTICE OF MAKING SHOTTENDEN ROAD, GILLINGHAM ME7 1QT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Medway Council on 20 May 2025 made the abovementioned Order under sections 1, 2, 45, 46, 53 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
The general effect of the Amendment Order, which comes into operation on 26 May 2025, will be to adjust the parking bay outside No.3 Shottenden Road to accommodate a 5.6-metre dropped kerb (vehicle crossing) for driveway access.
Persons wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of the 1984 Act or any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
Copies of the Order and associated documents can be requested by sending an email to parkingdesign@medway.gov.uk or by writing to Parking Design team, Medway Council, Gun Wharf, Dock Road, Chatham, Kent, ME4 4TR before the end of a period of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made.

HIGH STREET, ROCHESTER (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable gas supply works to be carried out
High Street, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 143 High Street. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be provided and signed.
This Order will come into force on Thursday, 29 May 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Thursday, 29 May 2025 and are programmed for completion within three days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

SNODHURST AVENUE, CHATHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable water supply works to be carried out
Snodhurst Avenue, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 43A Snodhurst Avenue. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Harptree Drive.
This Order will come into force on Monday, 2 June 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 2 June 2025 and are programmed for completion within four days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

LESTER ROAD, CHATHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable gas supply works to be carried out
Lester Road, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 14 Lester Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Salisbury Road and Magpie Hall Road.
This Order will come into force on Friday, 23 May 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Friday, 23 May 2025 and are programmed for completion within 11 days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.
