Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2025

The above Order, made on 25 April 2025, if confi rmed as made, will modify the defi nitive map and statement for the area by:

Adding to them
Part of Bridleway 33, Stourton Caundle
From the existing part of Bridleway 33, Stourton Caundle, at its junction with Bridleway 6, at ST 71161348 north east along a tarmac surfaced track to its junction with Rowden Mill Lane at ST 71181355. 

The width of this part of Bridleway 33 is 3 metres.

A copy of the Order and the Order map may be seen free of charge at Reception, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester during normal offi ce hours. Copies are also available on our website at www.dorsetcouncil.gov.uk/row-orders.

Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent in writing to Sue Phillips, Defi nitive Map Technical Offi cer, Spatial Planning, Dorset Council, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester, Dorset, DT1 1XJ (Ref: RW/T721), or via email to susan.phillips@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk not later than 27 June 2025.

Please state the grounds on which they are made. Any letters received will be made available for public inspection.

If no representations or objections are duly made to the Order, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Dorset Council, instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs may itself confi rm the Order. 

If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State, any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.

Temporary Closure of Bere Marsh, Shillingstone

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffi c Regulations Act 1984, as amended. 

All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Bere Lane, Shillingstone at Lamb House Bridge (in both directions), a distance of approximately 90 metres. 

The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. 

It will come into operation on 2nd June 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 20th June 2025.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out structural maintenance to Lamb House Bridge.

A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffi c to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Closure of Various Roads, Broad Oak

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffi c Regulations Act 1984, as amended. 

All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Various Roads, Broad Oak as listed:

[i] Common Lane, Broad Oak from outside Broad Oak Farm to outside Priestlands; 

[ii] New Road, Broad Oak from junction with Common Lane to outside The Little House; 

[iii] Copse Hill, Broad Oak from junction with Common Lane to junction with Angers Lane. 

The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.

It will come into operation on 9th June 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 27th June 2025.

This Order will enable Wessex Internet safe access to undertake fibre cable installation works.

There will be no signed alternative route on this occasion, however access will be maintained and road closures will be phased. 

The roads will be closed on the dates indicated on signage on site.

Temporary Closure of C34, Hazelbury Bryan

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffi c Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along C34, Hazelbury Bryan between B3143 and Partway Lane (in both directions), a distance of approximately 2820 metres.

The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.

It will come into operation between 09:30 to 15:30 on 4th June 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 13th June 2025.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.

A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffi c to travel around the closed sections.
